Tim Burton's Frankenweenie

is that Depp as a stopmotion figure?

Are you referring to the figure on the desk in the third pic? No, that character will be voiced by Martin Short but now that you mentioned it does resemble Depp.

Well, what do you expect? I mean, at this point, I'm fairly certain Tim makes Helena Bonham Carter wear a Johnny Depp mask when they make love. :o

Seen the original short film and it was wonderful. I love that this film is both black-and-white & stop-motion animated.

If you want to get technical 'Family Dog' came a fairly long time after Burton had designed and drawn all the Frankenweenie characters. So 'Family Dog' is similar to Sparky and not the other way around.

I didn't like Corpse Bride but I'll see this because the short was good and I'm a fan of the style of animation. Since Burton and WB are content with making do-overs/remakes/sequels I would love for them to do another Batman movie done in stop-motion and co-directed by Henry Selick.

First word of a trailer and it makes sense... From Tav Flett, one of the movies visual effects guys:

#Frankenweenie looking great. Stay tuned for the trailer out soon along with #JohnCarter

If only Dark Shadows could get the same treatment.

Looking forward to it.

Perhaps this will jog WB's memory that they also have an upcoming film by Burton....that needs marketing asap. :o

The poster went live just a few minutes ago, and so far it's only available on Facebook. So here's your link folks:

Is Barret Oliver in this? He should be, since he was in the original.

That is a beautiful cover... LOVE it! :hrt:

Nope... I don't believe any of the original cast are in this movie. And I don't think he has worked since the 80's.

the poster was cool, loved the original short, can't wait for a trailer
