Bad Supes...it's like looking at clouds formation.if you're looking at them long enough, you'll beginning to see patterns. Methinks you've been straining your eyes looking at that pic for too long...

From what i can see...no trunks!

But i don't wanna crush your hope, so let's just say there's still a slim possibility that he might be wearing a thong instead!

Not a thong please!!!! But there's something there to break up the blue, maybe a seam like SuperDaniel suggested.

As I've said I'd perfer a trunkless suit but I'm not going to be freaking out if we get a suit without them.

CGI flying has been mostly underwhelming to me. I'm hoping that rigs are used a little more.

I see it on the belt area... The rest? No, I relly dont see it.

Me too. I rather see good wire work than CGI Superman. I think one of the things that made Christoper Reeve look so good when he did his wire work was that he knew gliding. The movements he made looked very natural (The FOS scene in STM comes into mind).

The Superman boards are the best on Hype. I love the people on here, even when I disagree with their opinions I still at least have respect for them...provided they aren't acting like *****ebags ofcourse.

Funny enough some of my favorite posters either liked or loved Superman Returns and I had the exact opposite reaction so...yeah, we rule.

the filming of flying was 100% lazy in 2005. thyeh had modern groudnbreaking x-y-z flying rigs. they were created so that the actor could turn in every direction with full acting on wire right and greenscreen. it was designed to be creative,production ready and realistic. thats why they ignroed it.

what more do you need for a superman movie?

It's not so much the use of CGI, to me...it's more about putting together more compelling and exciting shots/sequences for flying...composition and pacing-wise. Iron Man's flying stuff was all CGI...but you had more dynamic shots with a greater sense of speed and danger altogether. Sure, the closeup stuff can be gimbal work et al, but CG is definitely going to come into play heavily...so hopefully, Snyder has a real fair for big-time action sequences in which we're thrilled by the events that are unfolding in front of our eyes, instead of scrutinizing the CG design, etc. Mocap has also advanced quite a bit too, which will hopefully help keep some of the movements from feeling 'animated'.

Exactly. And by the third film Chris had perfected it. One of the best shots is when he takes off in the first movie after dropping of luthor.

I'm actually hoping for the opposite in a way...less slow/emotional/introspective stuff...the smiling with with the arms spread out, and all that stuff. I'm hoping there's much more impact, thunder, and speed to the flying...even in bright daylight. It's what we've gotten from things like Iron Man and Matrix that have upped the ante in what onscreen flying should be, whereas Superman has lagged sorely behind. Flying in and of itself isn't somehow cooler or more inspirational just because it's Superman anymore....the flying sequences themselves have to be stepped up above ALL movies thus far. With the action, the stakes, the conflict, the scope, and the sense of speed and danger.

Hopefully, Snyder's the right guy for this.

I have no idea why they did that. You can CG a real face onto a CG body and it looks fine. But a CG face? Why?

I know what you mean. I hope they don't use that much CGI for flight scenes unless is totally neccesary (Superman flipping through the air after a punch or kick or some other dangerous stunt.)
