I don't mind padding as long as it looks good. Routh's padding looked awkward, and he still looked skinny.

If Cavill is wearing a muscle suit, it makes you wonder why he bothered with all the bulking up in the first place if it is going to be faked anyway. As you can probably tell, I am not a fan of muscle suits.

I hope that the only reason is that because of the tight fitting nature of the costume, padding was put in to get him back to his real size, if you see what I mean.

the whole body was padded in SR. the same with spiderman,fantastic four,captain american(avengers). some parts are more thick and some are thin. for example the shoulders are more thick then the biceps and torso.

I was not aware of the use of muscle padding in Captain America. I don't suppose you have any links which show this do you?

My guess is Henry bulked up so he would look bigger in the muscle suit.

Put a muscle suit on PeeWee Herman, and then put one on a 20 something Arnald Schwarzenegger, who do you think is gonna look buffer, more naturally big in the suit (only names I could think of. lol)?


Muscle suits don't bother me, as long as they look natural, and on film I'm sure the MOS suit will look just fine.

I was not aware of the use of muscle padding in Captain America. I don't suppose you have any links which show this do you?

because when Evans is doing the poses you can see how hard the muscles look under the suit. the fabric on superhero suits are very thick. the materials are very strong. and the suits are tight. even on bodybuilders you would see deformed muscles. so only a padding or muscel suit can have this looking muscles on so tight materials.

years ago i was suprised that the spiderman actors and stuntman have a helmet on the head. its a small thin helmet that makes sure that you dont see hair,ears and deformed skin. it gives a perfect looking head. and it makes sense. its about making them look perfect.

actors are working out for the normal clothes and for that specific shirtless shot. like in spiderman infront fo the mirror. Evans in FF movies. Routh in the hospital. plus in general when they wear buisness suits.

Ha! I told you that the seams were gold. Apparently there's a seam on his arms too, after the things on his wrists.

i was waiting for an exterior pic to see if i was right. i was right. the blue is very dark. very very dark. i am of course nitpicking like a fanboy. but i think a brighter blue would work better.

i am happy that he has a muscle suit. ohhhh whait a second. is anyone here who thinks that this is fabric over her body? he has a muscle suit. and thank god. because the arms look huge and amazing.

It is a very very dark blue. I still find it funny how it is not OK for the red to be a dark red on the Returns suits and there was all this anger, but the blue is dark as **** on this one, and it's "This suit is perfect"...when nobody has actually seen a full shot of the suit yet.

Years after Returns on these boards people were talking about how the colors need to be "classic" and "traditional" and there needs to be a bright red and a bright blue. Now that is all thrown out the window because we're getting another Superman movie. I personally have no problem with the suit so far, still have to actually see it, but the whole thing is caked with irony.

That being said, when you working with colors on a uniform, whether it be professional sports or otherwise. You want there to be a dark color to contrast with light colors or accent colors. The funny think is the cape looks perfect, but that S logo has a orangy tinge to it. Again, tough to see the full suit.

No. Becayse the combination of bright red and dark blue works MUCH BETTER than dark red and bright blue, imo, so its completely different. The suit has a fleischer hue which i personally love!!

It's like the opposite of SR suit when it comes to the colors. On this one the blue is too dark while the red looks fine, while it was the red that was too dark and the blue that looked great on SR suit.

Why can't it be both?

I really don't like the blue on this one.

I love it. Personally, i don't think it will be that dark in the movie. There's a big black sheet that is covering the light. The suit appears to be very reflective so i think its reflecting the black of the sheet.

There are also filters on the camera. It won't look like that anyway.

I remember hating the SR Colors...AFTER I saw the movie. I don't seem to mind these colors yet. I actually feel more open to the suit just because there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. I like what I'm getting from the suit because I'm getting more of an Alien vibe then I am a boyscout vibe. This is a new Superman. I'm down for anything. I love the long red cape, The dark blue certainly is different but the texture to it makes me feel like it's an actual alien outfit, I love the boots, The hair looks parted and maybe has an s curl? Either way I'm getting a good feel. I'll hold off my final verdict until I see it in the Theater though.

I don't think anybody can make a proper judgment of how the color are going to to look without seeing official stills. I personally just prefer the combination of dark blue and bright red over dark red over bright blue. I never liked the bright blue in the comics or the Reeve costume.

Also that picture of the helicopter sure does appear to be an Imax Camera. I was looking at some of the TDKR Photos and they have an Imax Helicopter camera and it appears very similar in size and shape

One thing seems to be sure: People got so mad about his hair that they changed it and now it looks that it's parted and has a curl.

It may not be an S curl, but i think it's a curl of some sort. It's not realistic to have a curl? Lol....and this is superman were talkin bout....there's nothing realistic when it comes to superman himself

They are trying to make him realistic...plausible at least

Anyways, the hair sure looks different from the official pic. Looks like they listened to the fans complaints.
