That is the person who is holding the cloth in front on HC. You are seeing his right elbow as he is looking to the right. I thought the same thing at first until I zoomed in to it.

I have dozens of new photos uploading to my site now. They should be all online in a couple of hours. Take a look at them and see if you see anything that I may have missed. I only discovered the ones of Superman on accident. I was trying to get a close up of the upside vehicle in the house while I was driving by. The police and security won't let anyone stop on the street so I have to just keep driving back and forth. The house is about 300 ft away from the street so I have to zoom in all the way with a giant telephoto lens and snap away while driving. Pretty tricky and usually I don't get much but everyone once in a while I will get something. A lot of perseverance, luck and good expensive equipment is what gets these photos. Here is the link to new ones taken the same day as Superman was on set.

Appreciated, man.

It's like you're a U2 plane at street level. :D

Where did this 'Krypton might not blow up' rumour come from?

Cause I really don't feel like excusing ANOTHER *cough*Smallville*cough* Superman related franchise as an 'AU' story, just because everyone's gotta be 'different' and doesn't have the vision to do it without drastically altering the backstory.

I mean, let's just have a Batman where the Wayne's don't die too. That'd be different!

Anyway, maybe the rumour is nothing...

:super::up:Whoa! I'm finding my pics all over the web! :yay:

Thanks for taking them, & Keep em coming man!!! :woot: I'm only 40min away from Plano, I been dieing to drive up there myself, hoping this week sometime (would have to be this week, as filming will not be going on much longer). :)

BTW, how is the security around the town? This has been my real only concern about driving up there.

Thanks man :word:

No disrespect I just find it ironic that people are more on board with the changes that Nolan/Snyder are making with the costume and from the story plot so far just redoing Donner's Superman yet when Singer was more faithful in casting and look of Superman with a few changes and moving the hero in his own direction he was stung up for it. Now while I have no trouble with the changes and storyline both directors are doing I just find it funny that one can be praised for it and the other bashed when they are both doing the same thing pretty much.

Im going to be straight forward here. I never thought that I would like anything but the classic suit but I really like the look of the new suit a lot. But the SR suit looked like a sissy suit to me. More fem than man. The movie had some cool moments that was def Superman but the movie was girly for lack of a better word

Singer made dramstic and unforgivable changes, so far Nolan/ Synder have made minor changes nothing to dramatic. The most oh my gawddddd change is Perry White being black everything else is small and a little annoying but not bastard kid annoying which was just grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.:cmad:

On the Kent Farm, it's been state troopers and hired security during filming. You could not get close on foot, only drive by shots.

Downtown Plano closes this AM, I have not been there yet but it's supposed to be tight security and I'd say two block radius around.

The suit looks alot better to me for this film. that said, i'd prefer the blue be a little brighter and the \S/ be on the cape. no biggies tho.
The cast is also better imo, not to mention we look to get loads of action.

1. We know very little of the plot, but so far I'd say it very much wasn't a redo of Donners film...

We know we have two new characters for one thing - Swanwick and Hardy.

And I don't remember a tornado in Smallville in the Donner films, does anyone else?

2. I never liked Singers attitude, and that makes for a big difference in my levels of cynicism. I already disliked him for his character destruction of cyclops in X-Men, and the he came into Superman with this 'Let's bring the Donner movies back to life' idea.

And he didn't even make a good movie out of it. Which could have been possible, even if I'd prefer a reboot than an after thought add on decades after the original.

He cast Routh for being a good lookalike for Reeve, he cast Bosworth because Spacey wanted her, he took Marsden with him from X-Men (proving without doubt that he has no regard for cyclops whatsover) and made up a character for him - a character that in itself caused one of the biggest moral controversies in a Superman story IMO.

The movie was dull, trying too hard to be a christ metaphor, and made the Superman character both unrelatable and a little unlikeable.

The suit itself was just very underwhelming. It looked plasticy and cheap.

Why are people less critical of Nolan/Snyder team up so far?

Because it's confirmed as a reboot. Because they have stated it will be a Superman we've never seen before, but something grounded in reality. Because the casting has all been unexpected but inspired. Because Nolan is someone the GA has been given no reason to doubt. Because Goyer knows his comic books. Because Snyder is very good at creating a visual masterpeice.

And because the suit is not underwhelming, doesn't look cheap, and is basically the opposite of all the complaints about the Singer one. (Blue was too light, red was too dark, no on liked the boots, or the t-shirt style neckline, or the cape).

I don't see any irony.

No Plano/Smallville-stuff has been shot yet, right?

Anybody know how long this shoot will be?
I guess somewhat long since there are several scenes depicting both Clark's early years as well as battle-scenes, no?

The big scenes in Plano start shooting today. They will film for two weeks.

just saying a redo doesn't have to be frame by frame and scene by scene exactly.

What makes a film a 'redo' to you then?

Cause this is a reBOOT, not a reDO or a reMAKE or anything else.

You know, like the amazing Spiderman is a reBOOT, and not just re doing the Raimi version...

How is it that you're surmising that this is in any way redoing the Donner movie? Because they're on the Kent Farm? That's kinda' been an element in Superman from before the Donner movie, no? And correct me if I'm wrong, but Superman never revisited the Kent household as Superman in either Superman I or II. Yeah, they're using Zod, but he was also a character in Superman before the Donner movies as well, wasn't he? I highly doubt they're doing the same storyline with Zod as Supes II did.

The problem with Singer's movie is that it was designed to pretty-much be part of the Donner movie series, whereas this one is completely separate.

I thought it was apparent from even before shooting started that we would be seeing a new origin story, as we did with "Batman Begins." A movie that REALLY re-introduces the character to modern audiences without the baggage of previous incarnations. It may not make you happy, but it's a more sensible way to start a new film franchise for your character than a non-origin/established hero story or pseudo-sequel.*

*-Denotes that this is of course just my opinion. ;)

I really don't see how MOS can be taken to be a redo of the Donner films....

Ok, thanx.

I'm guessing you're refering to action-scenes then.
Hopefully we'll get some character-driven non-action scenes as well.
