well, there is that manip of that particular pose floating around, but thats as big as ive seen it get

That one isn't a manip.. or well at least a fan made one. I've seen another variation of that picture where his right hand is balled up in a fist.. and that's pretty much the only difference.

That image for the Kellogg's products has to be my favorite so far. Hello new cell phone wallpaper.

When it comes to Cavill, no one's that straight. :o

Why I have no idea what you're talking about.

This may get me blasted out of the sky here, but I am confident that Zod's suit in this image is just as physical as Jor-El's. I don't think it is CGI, because Faora's is also not in the behind-the-scenes images we have seen. Why should Zod's be CGI?

The images we saw of Shannon in mo-cap are for something else we have NOT seen yet, and won't until the movie... the mo-cap was not for the suit he wears like Jor-El and Faora. It is for something much bigger, as evidenced by two things; one, there was a ball on a stick mounted on his head, about a foot higher, for visual reference for the computer and also his fellow actors. And he said that what he was supposed to be wearing in the mo-cap suit as too big for him to wear in real life. The armor is not. HENCE: I believe he will be wearing a Kryptonian Battle Suit at some point.

If someone else has put forth this theory before me, I apologize, I have not read it. But time will prove me out, I think.

Because it is far bigger and complicated. Look at it, Zod's armor is ridiculous. Look at it. We have already seen a shot of him in the armor, and it is cgi. The shot of him and Superman clashing in the first trailer is him in his armor.

There could be another suit, but right now it isn't looking likely.

Well, there's the fact that Shannon and Snyder have both stated that Zod's metal suit is CGI.

I wonder if we'll ever get a shot of Cavil as Clark/Superman where he's smiling or looks somewhat happy.lol

Exactly my thoughts for a while now. Henry as a person is very cheerful, almost child~like in a way how he gets excited quick, he has so much carisma as far as the person he is outside of movies, etc.. Im praying we get a little bit of his actual personality in this film, carisma to me is what makes supermans personality, and this is why i was so happy when Henry was casts as sups.

Just hoping he ain't Mr.Serious the entire film, we need some legit emotional smiling and personality out of him.

Well they say MOS will be an emotional film as well as action packed. Supes/Clark will experience anger, frustration, and happiness, so I'm sure there will be time for a smile or two. :cwink:

I don't get this obsession with smiling, with photos of Supes smiling. They are trying to sell the movie to the public as a non campy, bad ass yet thoughtful version of Superman. A bunch of pics of him smiling would kill that. Almost every lead character smiles in a movie at some point, he will smile in the film.

I'm happy that they are focusing on marketing the character as a cool bad ass mofo, leave the smiling for the actual film.

Ironically, on some more general sites like Screenrant or IGN, I've seen comments espousing dissatisfaction with the last trailer and other media because Man of Steel is "Nolan-izing" Superman and it looks like a repeat of the TDK trilogy. I don't know how representative those comments are of the general public, but it could be an indication that the general audience doesn't want a dark, broody Superman who is too similar to Batman. While I do not expect that is what we are getting from Man of Steel, it might be a good idea for the marketing to distinguish itself a little bit.

mos isn't dark tho

it is just a seriously done superman film not dark and gritty just serious drama

I know, I was just saying that some people are interpreting the marketing the wrong way so some want reassurance that they are not turning Superman into Batman.

They're not turning Superman into Batman. I don't know how anyone would think that at this point.

Once again, I know and I agree, but there appear to be some misconceptions among the ignorant general audience. I've even seen "professional" trailer reviews on film sites make such erroneous criticisms. People can be stupid.

Those are still geek websites. The general public only cares whether a film looks appealing to them or not, they don't have fanboy biases. I think The Man of Steel looks way more magical and fantasy based in the trailer than any of the Batman films looked in their trailers. Yes there is a bit of Nolan in there because he was involved in the picture but I see a lot of Snyder in the trailers as well as some Terrence Malick.

I hate that a lot of fanboys want every comicbook movie to have TDK's tone so I'm sensitive to that complaint but strictly going by the trailers I don't see how anybody could believe that this movie looks 100% like a Nolan film.
