How fantastic would it be, if for only the last big action scene of the film (assuming superman's got his work cut out for him) when he is getting roughed up and vice versa, his perfectly styled super-hair gets a bit disheveled and it ends up looking like he has that curl. I think that's the only way it can ever it work in this particular film.

Honestly with this being a Zack Synder film, I absolutely see him doing this. He's all about small visuals like that.
