Actually, I think djprince is right to say that the reflection shouldn't be there, but I think his reasoning is wrong: it was likely added to highlight the texture of the suit, rather than the cape being added from thin air.

It doesn't matter, anyway.

"Kneel before Zod" in Zod's message, CG cape... This is starting to remind me of Blurple, 6/10 and all the other silly discussions in the Batman section. :funny:

I find it so damn funny when people start to see things as CG, that are not CG to begin with! Kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it. It's an ever losing battle for the companies doing effects for films. They can't win no matter what. Now, real stuff tends to look CG as well!... So funny (actually, it isn't. It's just dumb)
LOL...I partly blame it on videogame culture. Nah. It's mostly because some people who were brought up too emersed in digital technology and little exposure to old school filming tecnique. I came from world that once used in abundant Pitman shorthand writing, Latin reading/writing & selectric typewriting with eyes closed (mostly my mother) and 35mm films.

So, I'm not too fazed by the CGI stuffs in the film mainly because I only considered cinema as an art form and not something where you need to beat realism into it. Otherwise it will become stale and not nearly entertaining enough.

Here are some photos and a video of the Man of Steel trailer on my 1080p projector (Epson 8100) displayed onto wall - about 130 inches or so.

There is one thing the CGI people have missed. Since the cape is added digitally, the lightning is off. Look at the sides, the suit is relfecting a light source, which should not be possible since the cape is blocking the light.

Not this time my friend. If you remember this:

I'm not a fan of Struzan-style posters after 1990. They just tend to look like overly busy, floating heads messes to me. Hated the Star Wars prequel trilogy ones.

I want this as the New Poster. Requested by me and head swapped by Hobo123

Actually, we are enjoying a rare period of blanket approval for everything. One person made one very small criticism about a single lighting effect. No need to get it out of proportion.

Can't wait for the theatrical poster, hopefully it won't be the disaster that the handcuff poster or TDKR's theatrical poster was.

Awesome poster but kind of weird to see in the summer

Those poster concepts are amazing. I love the image of Supes walking through the Fortress door. It reminds me a lot of this iconic Alex Ross image of Superman standing in that same pose. I'm pretty sure they had that image in mind when the filmed that scene.

I found the top-half high irritating... So, I fixed it.

I love how blue the costume looks in this pic from the trailer..

Stunning fan-made poster. Great use of arguably the best shot in the whole trailer.

At first glance, it wasn't that striking of a poster, but after the way the scene was shown in trailer #2, I grew very fond of it. It's a very striking image and basically tells us that Earth won't be exactly too fond of Superman at first. Totally agree about TDKR's theatrical poster though. I still can't look at the Blu-Ray cover without shaking my head.
