We need a poster of Supes facing away from us looking at the damage being done to Metropolis.

ok enough is enough. in the name of the holly comicbook god. why is WB using screencaps from the movie as posters?
the first time it was bad. the second time it was insulting. but the third time its just shocking

at least the third poster looks good. well it looks good when i am ignoring the lens flare that is positioned above the superman layer. see thats why i dont like this lens flare trend. they are not using it subtle. they are using it on top of characters faces,body and action.

its true that they used those posters way to many times in the last 4 years. i agree.

but superman's silhouette is perfect for this kind of composition. its all about his body porportions and boots and the cape. when you have the cape at 45 degree on the right you have a perfect image. you can use metropolis,clouds,landscapes.
Joker,Leo and Khan all look very simple from behind. simple body with simple clothes. with superman its different. but i agree its to late. to bad.

Because those shots from the film look awesome?

They don't always need to make some generic composed image that fits the stereotypical poster requirements.

Sometimes they can just sell the film on how good the film looks alone. In a way it shows how much of the films visuals can be considered iconic and beautiful already.
