People take people walking around with capes seriously? The double standards are hilarious. :funny:

The suit as it is has a very regal and majestic look to it and the cape adds to that IMO...at least in the best sense the Superman suit can while maintaining the somewhat classic look. The outside underwear would only devalue it.

It days like this where I wish that I was both old enough to have cared when Burton's first Batman came out and to have had internet back then in order to see on what people's reactions was like when they first saw the new batsuit.lol

Poor Alex Ross. Missing that regal and majestic look all these years. :csad:

By the way, I like the suit. But come on, with this being so much better. Hyperbole to the extreme.

More like "Batman Returns" and turning Batman into a murdering psychopath. The internet talk would be legendary.

As we both said Darth, that is not the usage of the term that context of Naite's past posts suggest. All he ever talks about is wanting a tough guy, ass kicking angry God Superman.

Superman shall smite the.

Too much God of War. :woot:

You are comparing apples and oranges and trying to make it sound like I am a hypocrite. The comics and a film...apples and oranges. I'm talking about what works FOR FILM. There is a ton of things in comics that are perfectly fine because it is a different medium. I'm not sittin' here creamin' all over the new suit saying it is the best superhero suit EVA! SCREW ALL OF YOUZ!??!!? but as far as a Superman suit for film goes its pretty damn great.

If someone shows that he/she is impervious to bullets and such, in addition to having other powers like flight, I think just about anyone would take them seriously. And Cavill, in the new suit, certainly does convey that he's a force to be reckoned with. He just looks powerful -- cape or not. Perhaps that's what Naite was trying to say.

It certainly kept the sanctity of that film for me throughout my childhood. Now every film is at least the worst film ever made to someone on the internet.

Not one bit! This... is Superman from my comic books!

This conversation is not strictly about you. I don't even think I was commenting on anything you said. If you have spent a good time here, that is exactly what you get. Not the best onscreen suit, not the best film suit, the bestest of the best evah.

And there is no right or wrong answer here. But there is also no need to crap on others any time they disagree with an aspect of the suit, which is what happens here. And it is done by twisting words, logic and using double standards.

I love the shield and I love the cape. I'll enjoy it, even with the horrible piping.

Using this logic, one could possibly wear a certain undergarment on the outside and it wouldn't matter.

He is impervious to bullets mommy. :supes:

Well you were quoting me which led me to believe you were commenting on something I said. Silly me. :o I wasn't crapping on anyones disagreement with what they think of the suit. I was simply just stating my opinion on it. I thought that is what we do on this forum?

:funny:

You do realize you started by attempting to explain Naite, who has quite a history talking about this very subject. Trying to explain his take on the phrase "Badass" and then never putting your words in the context of "film" when commenting on the suit itself.

^ Where did all the comics fans go?:csad:

Who reads comic books anymore? It is all about the movies made on comics. :nono:

Hilarious. Every time, every single time a new picture is released, a doctored version with more saturation inevitably follows. Which begs the question of exactly how much are people really liking the color of the suit.

I honestly wasn't attempting to explain anyone...so you must be mistaken. I just randomly jumped into the conversation throwing in my two cents on the suit.

That's the interesting thing. The color of the suit also varies at times depending on the lighting of the scene.

Shush yourself. We are not allowed to talk about that.

Not so much. It may look a bit different in some shots, but for the most part it is the faded look.

I love the colours of the suit as it appears under natural lighting or mild filters like in the EW article or most recent Empire stills, but I'm not the biggest fan of how it looks sometimes with all the filters/colour correction that Snyder is using and how the colours are being depicted in a lot of the promotional art (like the recent calendar).

I am sorry but what?

*Sighs* I wasn't quoting Naite I was speaking in general that when some people use the phrase that looks badass, like in the case of superhero's costume such as Man of Steel, The Dark Knight, etc., that it can mean it looks like a suit you can take seriously and that the said superhero isn't anything to be scoffed at.

In the case of this last one... You really think the original picture is closer to what's in the trailer? Obviously the answer is no. It's a great picture and should be appreciated similar to what we've seen from the clips. :yay:

Well here's a good example of how the blue on the suit looks great here as opposed to the picture above:
