Not repress, guide and manage.

To manage is to control. People don't need control.

I am a dyed in the wool atheist... And even I understand that if you want to be involved in anything even close to civilization... Yes. People need controls, of one kind or the other. We all can espouse whatever pie in the sky type ideals, but the hard facts of practical living will always leaven their application in the real world. Anything goes at any time is not conducive to civilized life as we have known it, point blank.
Forgive me for not being clear with the context of that comment. I was referring specifically to this instance that people need management of their sex life from others.
It's not like I am missing out on anything other than meaningless sex with girls I don't really care about.
You have to remember love is a choice of commitment. It's not supposed to be some animalistic reaction. You are supposed to be selfless in dedicating your life to one person. In sickness and health etc. It's not supposed to be a case of comparing experiences over a dozen people and picking your favorite. You don't need that to dedicate your life to someone.
Why did we get on the topic of sex anyway? It's not really anyone's concern what others do in their bedroom.
Spot onWhy did we get on the topic of sex anyway? It's not really anyone's concern what others do in their bedroom.
It didn't derail the thread at all. The topic of sex is huge when it comes to religion. I assume many of you are not having premarital sex because of religion.
Oh interesting. I thought this finding Jesus thing was just a 1 time show thing not a sierras of episodes.
The CNN Facebook page is a flame war between believers and non believers in regards to the Finding Jesus documentary. Mostly people bashing CNN for doing a documentary on Jesus. Some claim he didn't exist which is false. Even non believer historians acknowledge that Jesus existed. They just don't accept that he was divine or truly the son of God.

Trolls are everywhere.
And denying the existence of Jesus is not on the same level as denying the Holocaust.
It's pretty disgusting some of the comments I read from there. They are usually always trollish in nature with A lot of blatant Christophobia. It is really sad. But it is to be expected. At least there are good comments there too. However, I try not to read Facebook comments on CNN or really any news site if it deals with a Christian story because you'll find those type of ridicules comments. Even Christian news sites are sometimes overrun by trolls. The whole Jesus never existed is really ridicules. I mean people don't believe the holocaust ever happened. Some don't believe we went to the moon. It's all ridicules denial-ism to the extreme. In a couple thousands years you'll read racist comments on how MLK never existed, or Gahndi never existed. Every reputable historian agrees Jesus lived. I just do my best to ignore it. That is the only thing you can do.
I think the strict sex rules turns a lot of people away from religion.
Then again it wouldn't feel right if the church supported orgies and loveless sex.
I hope you're not serious.
