Tom Cruise in...The Magnificent Seven

I'd be interested in seeing a female gunslinger as part of the 7. In all incarnations of the M7, they've never had a woman member.

You should watch BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS then http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080421/ It's a Roger Corman produced sci fi version of it, Sybil Danning is a crazy female space warrior...it even has Robert Vaughn playing basicly the same character he played in Magnificent 7 but in a spaceship.

Yeah, I have that movie on Blu Ray, love it. Also, Bug's Life is also a remake of the 7 Samurai, and it has female "warrior bugs."

But I was referring specifically to all the Western executions of M7.

Oh, I get you.

I love BBTS too. :woot:

At least the M7 TV series had Laurie Holden in it....not as a fighter though.

I think there's almost certainly going to be a female member of this Magnificent 7.

Nothing sexier than Laurie Holden in head-to-toe period costume. Bustle that bustle, baby, ohh yeah! ;)

Samurai 7 turned the young samurai into a girl, too.

Just read Saldana is going to be in Machete Kills Again. Sure hope she is in this film aswell as the female gunslinger. Would fit in perfectly with her being the new female tough chick in action films.

Speaking of Machete, I would very much like to see Danny Trejo in this, maybe in the Bernardo or Lee role.

Nah. Calvera had a certain wit and humour about him; you could argue he was the smartest character in the movie. Danny Trejo doesn't really bring those qualities to the table.

I'd prefer Trejo to be a "hero" character, just to remind the audience that these guys the villagers are hiring have done some ugly, ugly things in the past.

I could see Antonio Banderas spouting off some of the same lines as Eli Wallach.

No Saldana, unless she eats a couple of cheeseburgers. Get Rhona Mitra on the phone.

Not to Saldana or Mitra. I like both of them, but Saldana is a bit too tiny to believably play a badass (though she was good in Colombiana) and Mitra tends to only star in garbage.
