They're not a production company, they distribute.

Saban Films mostly puts out weak and mediocre movies, as well (very similar to Vertical's output), but in the midst of that they also had the brilliant Light of my Life, directed by and starring Casey Affleck.

Final Girls and Berlin Syndrome are pretty good movies among the Vertical releases.

This could go either way, especially as the trailer doesn't look bad at all (aside from the SD picture quality).
