I actually have that on DVD...along with the two seasons after that. I loved Animaniacs.

When I saw that episode for the first time, I was just :wow: :funny:

Crowe is starting to tweet as Javert LOL. He's giving clues as to what's being filmed - sword fighting??

Hehe, that would be awesome, if they take the "Confrontation" song to like level 11 with an actual swordfight.

My excitement is getting ridiculous!

Some of Russell's Tweets really crack me up! Dude has a great sense of humor. :funny:

And no wonder Javert doesn't recognize Valjean as Monsieur L'Mayor!

Love Russell's tweets! And confirmation of the swordfight - my question is, are they singing while they do this LOL?

Danielle @daniellepyne
Watching hugh jackman and russel crowe have a sword fight on set!

I was cracking up at those tweets the last few days. He's really having a good time, isn't he? :funny:

And a swordfight? Wow!

I wonder if "swordfight" is literal, because I think in the book, Valjean breaks off the leg of a chair and either fights Javert with it or knocks him out with it. Maybe that's what "swordfight" really means?

Probably like Highlander, when two guys produce longswords out of thin air and start fighting.

Aaron Tveit was at Broadeay softball today. :)

Haha! He was on Rock of Ages' team. They slaughtered Newsies.

I'm seeing Newsies on Monday. :woot:

I saw the movie in theaters twice back when it first came out. Both times we were the only people in the audience. :oldrazz:

They previewed a teaser at CinemaCon. "Lots of emotions" apparently and Anne should "get her Oscar dress ready". :)

Ok, some tweets from CinemaCon after the Universal presentation:

Moisés Chiullan @moiseschiu
LES MISERABLES teaser has Hathaway absolutely crushing "I Dreamed A Dream", recorded live on set. Raw, captivating, passionate. #cinemacon

Tristone Cinemas @TristoneCinemas
First footage from Les Miserables shows Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman in top form.

Michael Dequina@twotrey23
says Anne Hathaway's "I Dreamed a Dream" = different,appropriately quieter for film & more teary & emotional... #LesMizMovie #fb

All Things Fangirl@loquaciousmuse
Just saw first ever footage of Les Mis. Only like 90 seconds and it had me bawling. ****in Hooper.

Steve Nash @SteveNashLA
Universal presentation at CinemaCon was unbelievably good. TED looks ridiculously funny. Also saw 60 secs of LES MIS. Breathtaking.

Josh Horowitz ‏ @joshuahorowitz
My biggest takeaway of about 60 seconds of Les Miserables footage: Anne Hathaway probably should get her Oscar dress ready.

I can't wait. I'm going with my sister (who currently has her own little Newsie on the way :yay: ). When we were kids she borrowed my Newsies CD soundtrack and never gave it back. So we're incredibly psyched.

More - sounds like they mostly showed Anne.

Also they world premiered a 40 second teaser type trailer for LES MIS movie. Holy ****. Looks insane. Filled with emotion. WOW.

All Things Fangirl ‏ @loquaciousmuse
@erincmccarthy they just showed les mis footage!! I cried!! Ahhh!!!

All Things Fangirl ‏ @loquaciousmuse
@colliderfrosty @erincmccarthy wow only 40 seconds that was?? Powerful 40 seconds, damn.

Steven Weintraub ‏ @colliderfrosty
@loquaciousmuse @erincmccarthy the 40 seconds of footage almost got me. Man, Anne Hathaway can SING!

I can't wait to see Hathaway sing her version of "I Dream A Dream". Maybe after this movie people will start associating that song with Hathaway and not Boyle. :o

Don't be too harsh on Susan. She's a nice woman that has a pleasant voice and her story is actually pretty inspiring. But I do agree that people acting like she's the only and best person EVER to sing that song need to catch some knowledge.

Anyway, can't wait to hear what some are calling a complete redefinition of a classic song.

demand that 60 seconds of footage.

Another one that thinks it's the French Revolution...

'Les Misérables' Footage of Anne Hathaway Singing 'I Dreamed a Dream' Screens at CinemaConPublished: April 26, 2012

Move over Susan Boyle: Anne Hathaway is the next diva putting a distinctive spin on "I Dreamed a Dream," based on early footage of "Les Misérables" that Universal screened at CinemaCon on Thursday.

Universal Pictures Chairman Adam Fogelson warned the audience at the exhibition trade show in Las Vegas that the early look still hadn't been touched up.

Hathaway's singing was captured on the set -- something Fogelson said Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper ("The King's Speech") planned to do as much as possible.

"It is raw and it is real," Fogelson said.

The footage, set to the Broadway show's famous ballad, contained glimpses of Russell Crowe as the obsessed Inspector Javert and Hugh Jackman as the reformed convict, Jean Valjean. There were also quick shots of Eddie Redmayne as Marius, a student activist, and Amanda Seyfried as Valjean's adopted daughter, Cosette, all set against the backdrop of the French Revolution.

But it was Hathaway and her vocal talents that were most prominently on display.

Get ready musical lovers: "Les Misérables" hits theaters on Dec. 14.
