I hope people aren't wanting her to not to do this simply because of Star Wars.

Some people seem to have that idea which is odd to me.

I mainly think that she should think twice because video game movies have been nothing but garbage.

I'd have preferred Alicia Vikander for the role, I think Ridley could also do with a role that removes her from the action adventure genre, give her more options.

I can't help but think some people over estimate how much time she'll be working on each Star Wars episode. I mean, if Jennifer Lawrence can handle being both Katniss and Mystique whilst doing numerous Oscar nominated rolls I'm pretty sure Daisy Ridley could handle being both Rey and Lara Croft.

I agree with you completely. The girl is not going to be working on Star Wars 24/7 for half a decade.

I really liked Ridley as Rey, but she really isn't Lara Croft to me, even when considering the reboot. They could pick worse people for sure, but I'd rather she not take the part.

She certainly does but I don't see her as Lara Croft. She is also more "traditional" Lara Croft than the reboot version which Daisy Ridley is closer to in looks and age.

I think it potentially could be. She's now tied to Rey but she's done only one Star Wars film so far and the sequels are still a few years off so there is time for her to also become Lara Croft in the way that Harrison Ford is Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

And if anyone can replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft Tomb Raider then it is definitely Daisy Ridley not that Angelina was a bad Lara Croft she was good but Daisy Ridley could be better because for one thing she can actually act but also she's actually British whereas Angelina Jolie was not

What was lacking with the two TR movies was the material and there just wasn't enough I felt for Jolie to work with - to really sink her teeth into. I wish this was always the case for certain films made from comic books these days but with the right writers and director, you can definitely do wonders with these female heroines by taking them to new levels but also maintain their respective originality from the source material so that way, the character can breathe more life than a cardboard standout.

I think Daisy will be great...but also Hayley...now I wonder - I am not sure if anyone thought of this idea but who knows. What if Daisy plays the younger version of Lara while Hayley plays the older version of Lara? eh? eh? Both are British...and are badasses so...who knows...could work.
