Keep in mind that Ridley has agreed to do 'Kolma', which is a smaller film in-between the big Star Wars. People..don't be ignorant to think she just 'passed' on Tomb Raidee due to her ego.

There arent many charismatic women lead, possible blockbuster franchises in Hollywood and this could be the one. I am pretty sure just on that thing Hollywood wont frick up. And giving we got not only talented actress for female lead, but Oscar winning one just tell confirms it.

Still not sure current director and screenwriters will remain same.

All for this casting and am glad it's not Ridley. Not because I dislike her at all, but because she already has Star Wars and we really need to spread these action heroine franchise roles out.

I feel the same when people suggest Pratt for Indiana Jones or ESPECIALLY Han Solo, I cringe at the lack of inspiration in that fancasting because he's already damn close to Solo as Starlord. He's already got Guardians and Jurassic World, which will spawn sequels. Let someone else do it.

I liked the old Tomb Raider games but Croft's proportions were always silly. I mean I wasn't up in arms about it but they were silly. The new Croft is still hot but looks like a human now.

If they dont know who she is, I feel bad for them. Since last year she is really on the roll, both as supporting or lead. Starring in really good movies. From Ex-Machina to Danish Girl and now Bourne.

She is actually perfect. Rebooted Lara Croft is 5 ft 5¾ in (167cm) and Vikander is 5 ft 5½ (166 cm). Not sure rebooted or not but Lara's measurements (could be wrong) are 34D-24-35 / 86-61-89 and Vikander is 34-24-34½ in or 86-61-88 cm. Will she put muscles for a role? Yh. Gadot did it, she will also.

I'll just say rebooted Lara doesnt depend on her look and practically never use it or lets say embrace it. She is much different than original Lara with who personally I grew up playing games. Original Lara was sex symbol with adventuristic and fearless spirit. New Lara is role model for young girls. Still has adventuristic spirit. But she isnt fearless and experienced like original Lara. And giving nature of her personality she never will be.
