I've noticed that there are quite a few RPGs floating around the Hype, and many good RPGs are on the verge of being abandoned. I have come up with a solution to this problem. I say that we have RPGs that are nearing their next season go on a temporary hiatis, that way other RPGs can be played at those times.

Honestly, I don't like the idea. Part of the appeal of more than one RPG is being able to play whichever you want, at any time you want, with a different range of characters. I don't want to abandon plans I have for one RPG, and am looking forward to partaking in, just so some other people can play an RPG I probably don't nessacarily want to be apart of.

*shakes head*

We can't do that.

Each RPG is 'owned' and 'controlled' by the GM/players who made it and are playing it. It's their decision to decide what to do.

*this is gonna sound mean*

But ya'll are big enough boys/girls to be able to look at where you are in your life and just say 'no' to another RPG/character you want to play. Or cut one out. >.<; If you want it to survive there has to be commitment from each of the players. RPGing is like marriage....."Marriage...marriage....ith what brinths us..togetwer"

I've already cut out two RPG's to find time and I *still* haven't found time to finish writing posts for the others.

I don't think that route has to be taken either. All that I ask, is that people better plan out the new RPGs. Some of them seem to be made for little, next to no reason. Also, perhaps the criteria should be more "strict" in general for RPGs and applying for them. I'm not talking about limiting the players...but sometimes it feels like little effort is put it as far as applying goes.

We can make the applications harder, however we ran into some issues where people seemed to think they had a 'right' to have RPG's here and it's very hard without having total authority to flat out say 'no' to someone when the ton of their post(s) imply that they think they shouldn't have to answer to us anyway.

I honestly don't see this as an issue. If people don't want to play a particular RPG, then they won't. And if they do, then they will. Making the apps harder would help, but in the end, you can't just flat out say no to an RPG (not saying this is happening, or even suggested, though) that people show interest in just because the interest in the older RPG's has died down.
