'Total Recall' ready for revival

There was no nudity in the book (at least that I remember), and there were lots of things that Total Recall did that were not in the book. The book focused more on an alien invasion, then some mutant uprising. So as long as the core idea of "implanting memories" is there is important.

Actually in the short story stuff was talked about with Mars but not at all to the extent of the 1990 film.

um yeah...theres a sex scene between Farrell and Beckinsale in the film.

So? I'm saying that the book did not have it, not that it is a sin to have it in there.

I'm guessing that image is the wallpaper from the site?

I never usually watch trailers on my PS3 but I think I might give this a spin just to see what Craig is talking about.

Not getting the critique on the VFX. I never shy away from calling out bad VFX work but everything looks incredibly well done for this movie.

There is an HD option by the way. You can really appreciate the detail of that first shot of the city that way. They're not even using an overt amount of spatial anti-aliasing to cover the distance of the cityscape. They actually took the time to work on every nook and cranny.

Seeing this on an LED screen with the HD option on certainly helps though.

Yeah I always feel that anytime there's a fanatical or sci-fi city, it doesn't look real. Here I was actually impressed. It makes you wanna go there.

The original TR is one of my favorite Schwarzenegger films,so i was pissed it was being remade but i will reserve judgement until i see the final product.

I was unaware that the teaser was a teaser to the trailer.

Why not just call it the teaser?

I must say, the theatrical poster is pretty cool.

Reminds me of the source code one. which I liked.

I hope this turns out good

Tag line: Is this real life?

I watched the full HD copy on my PS3 and the cityscapes are stunning and thew effects look stellar.

I like the "10 minutes into the future" look of the gun.

I can't wait to see this sequence.

Darth Sexy and her Stormtroopers.

The effects of the environment really are great and I can't wait to see more of it in the trailer. :wow:

I'm really liking the look of those robot soldier guys as well. They look awesome. Reminds me of the Cerberus soldiers from Mass Effect a bit.

Damn Cerberus and TIM! They really do now that you said that ....

Darth sexy and her stormtroopers made me giggle Hunter!

I do like that the 'stormtroopers' (which are actually robots) are simple looking but striking. I think with production and character design now, it's overly thought-out, or too derivative. Even though here, you can tell where the influence is from, it still looks beautiful.

I really liked the original and this new one looks really cool! Does have a bit of a Blade Runner vibe, which is cool.

I'm getting a bit of a "Blade Runner meets Minority Report" vibe from the footage I watched.

Yeah, it reminds me of Minority Report. Looks just as cool in terms of the environment.

And as usual, Beckinsale looks incredibly sexy.
