the biggest praise i can give is that they are not using the cliche blue/orange colors for teh future. grey and silver. thats how i like my futuristic scifi movies. grey/silver.

I thought that was a pretty darn good trailer. Farrell seems to be doing a pretty good job. I'm not really a big fan of his but he's really coming off as naturally frustrated with his life as Quaid and seems genuinely confused after the Recall process.

Collin Farrell looks like a real man. i like that he has wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead. he is only 35. but for hollywood standards he lokos older. i like that. i hate with a passion all those 18 year old looking supermodel boys . i hate how cute and young they look in blockbuster movies. Collin looks badass.

and its nice that he is back in shape.

This surprised me. I don't know who's working on the effects or who was the lead concept designer, but this futuristic setting is very convincing not only from a technical perspective, but in looking like a viable urban environment. Too many times these backgrounds look so empty and sterile. The detail they've packed in the cityscapes is astounding.

Colin's delivery is far better than Arnold's. He was a popular 80s action hero which was the only reason he got that movie. If you're in any way a fan of Dick's stories, you know how complex and complicated his characters can be in spite of the abrupt and condensed narratives. Nuance is imperative with this particular character (assuming they go with the history in the original story). Colin has the talent to pull it off given that he's provided meaty material. Fingers crossed here.
