Toy Story 4

Yeah I get all the complaints you guys have with how this trailer shows the movie, but in all honesty I love the first three so much that I know I'm going to see it anyways. I'm hoping its great and I think it definitely could be, but its kind of disappointing how they couldn't come up with a more inspired story.

This looks like its gonna end up making me cry. I can't wait! I grew up with toy story being one of my very first animated films, and toy story 3 was a brilliant ending to the story, but I think this will end up being fantastic as well.

This definitely looks to be Woody’s final outing.

Tom Hanks doing some great dramatic voice over at the end of the trailer there.

They needed that Bo Peep closure. People have actually said this.
That’s pretty much the only reason I’ll accept this movie’s existence. But that being said, I’m not expecting it to be on par with the other Toy Story films but I’m hoping it’ll at least be on par with the better Pixar sequels like Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory.

Eh. The story seemed all over the place and the 'lost toy' storyline's already been done. I can't even tell what the main plot is supposed to be, there's so much going on that doesn't seem connected.

Forky seems like an afterthought because they realized the Bo storyline wasn't going to be enough to carry an entire movie. I felt like I was watching a trailer for two different movies.

It's also weird that Woody seems so ready to ditch Bonnie after we've spent the past three movies being reminded over and over that nothing is more important to Woody than his devotion to his owner. Now he's dazzled by some carnival lights and that's all it takes for him to start thinking about bailing out? That doesn't seem like Woody at all.

I also suspect that the Bo is the real villain and she isn't the same Bo Peep lamp that Woody knew at Andy's.

I feel like Patrick Bateman at the end of American Psycho after watching this.

This feels like something out of a nightmare. Sure, there's the interesting concept of what it means to be a toy and I guess it's a nice encapsulation of these movies to actually question that whole notion. But who are we kidding, it's not gonna be that interesting.

And I'm tired of people telling me how I'm going to get emotional at the end of this. I didn't watch the third movie because I wanted to get emotional, it was because I wanted to watch another movie and I was invested in the characters, and wanted to see where they were going. It just happened to be emotional because the story was so good.

Let's face it guys. Making this gives them the excuse to make more. There will be a Toy Story 5 down the road. This isn't gonna be the last one. If they couldn't end it with 3 after all the money it made, one of the greatest trilogy enders of all time, you really think they're gonna leave it alone after this movie?

Honestly, I could live with another Toy Story movie if they created new toys to follow. Keep the brand and leave the original characters with their story completed with the third. But this is just painful.

Do we really need another storyline where Woody gets separated from the toys, gets shown there is another world out there that may be better for him, only to realize he should be with the other toys instead?

That’s happened twice already.

Gotta watch this. I haven't seen the shorts but I've grown up watching these movies. Gotta finish the story, though I thought that was supposed to be 3. Was this a great trailer? Meh, it was okay...I'm just sure the movie will be better than this 2 1/2 minute look. Something I like about the poster is how Forky looks so conflicted about what he is. A spoon? A fork? Both? Neither? Or does he think the silverware he's holding are his parents? Seems like the kind of thing a spaz like him would really get manic about. :funny:

I didn't know that Tony Hale is voicing Forky. He's gonna be hilarious.

Tony Hale is always good

I don’t think he’ll be staying with the other toys this go around.

“I was made to help a child. I don’t remember it being this hard"

Just damn, that hit hard

They will if this one meets a mixed critical and box office response. The other three movies have been huge hits both financially and critically, but this one just looks like a mess. It'll make a lot of money but I expect the main reaction to be "They should have stopped at 3."

They should have just made it as a couple of unrelated shorts. Woody finds Bo and goes to the carnival and Bonnie creates Forky and an existential crisis at the same time and the toys deal with that. Both storylines could be done in a half hour.

I honestly havent thought about bo peep ever after the first movie, she just didnt stick out in the sea of characters.

You're right but at this point the brand is so strong, especially after the third movie I doubt this will underperform. But you never know for sure.

I have no doubt it'll make a profit but I suspect it won't make anything close to what the other movies made, unless it's a lot more compelling and cohesive than the trailer makes it appear to be.

I checked out when Bo Peep came in to save the day.

I'm tired of this forced agenda of feminism. We get it.

Then you’re going to be extra pissed when She-Sonic saves Sonic from drowning in a pile of rings.

I don't know what is more disturbung:

1.) Horror movie dummies.
2.) The implications of an unwillingly sentient spork.
3.) Pixar making a forth Toy Story film.
4.) That it's been 9 years since the last one, so in real time Bonnie would have already become a teenager and likely discarded the toys herself by now.

There's an overall sense of doom I'm feeling for this. Will wait on the critics for this one cause like many others I was more than happy to stop at 3.

Yeah that will always bug me that they didn't real time this like the last one.
