Toy Story 4

I'd check it out and I think it could still be great even if it was made for the money,But I sure agree 3's ending was perfect!!

How bad is Cars2??

I don't understand why people have the mentality of "Pixar is trying to make money." What the hell else would they be doing? Of course they want to make a movie that makes money. They're a movie studio. They've been "trying" to make money since 1995.

The thing we should be concerned about is whether they're interested in telling a great story, and from the looks of Cars 2, this was not something they were interested in.

So, instead of saying, "Pixar is only interested in making money," the correct accusation should be, "Pixar isn't interested in telling great stories anymore."

However, we still have Brave coming next year. And who knows - maybe that movie will be a mind-blowing gem like WALL-E and UP. And maybe it'll be the best thing Pixar has ever done. We don't know. And hell, maybe Monsters U. will be incredible as well.

I think people are confused right now because Pixar finally made a blunder. We're not really sure how to react.

Please God no. I didn't think TS3 would top the first two. I knew it would be good, but Jesus, it exceeded my expectations. 3 for 3 for Toy Story. Let's keep it that wat. There's no way in hell you can make another film that can be as good as those three. It had the perfect ending. Let it go.

I doubt there's a new one in development (not that I wouldn't see it regardless).

This is exactly how I feel.

as for Pixar doing it for money, I don't think that's true at all. Cars 2 shouldn't make people turn on Pixar.

I don't think this is true. If Pixar wants the next Toy Story franchise they just have to make a sequel to the incredibles.

Interesting that they make this announcement after Cars 2 made bank at the box office.

Coincidence? Who knows.

I honestly just have to say its just a computer animated movie about toys, nothing more to it than that.

Way to belittle something we all have clearly enjoyed and cared about.

Real classy.

Tell me your favorite movie. I guarantee that one of the Toy Story films is on its level.

I'm thinking he mistaken and its just a few Toy Story shorts that will be released on a separate DVD.

I hope that's the case. Come on, Pixar; not all of us are ready to write you off as another DreamWorks, clinging to every possible franchise and squeezing it to death, just because of Cars 2 and Monsters University. Toy Story 3 was such a beautiful conclusion, though, and just so right, it would be a shame for a fourth film to come along. I can't fathom the creative justification - even though I've been wrong before.

I thought they could have ended it with 2 (the best). 3 was actually good, but it wasn't better than 2 (it recycled a few plot elements). I hope they stop at 3, before the quality starts to decline as it usually does with sequels.

I thought Toy Story 2 could/should have been it too, I was fairly skeptical on a third - and then when the movie arrived, it felt so perfect, and so necessary, and so much like an ending. I'd hate to see that negated.

*Ahem*

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

That's because the plot elements in Toy Story 3 is supposed to echoes some of the elements in toy story 2, mostly of what Prospector says to Woody.

I hope not. 3 had the perfect ending

Exactly. I wouldn't mind a few 5 minute shorts now and then to pop up in front of other Pixar movies to show us what the toys are up to "nowadays"... but no Toy Story 4. It wreaks of insincerity, especially after the way 3 ended.

Maybe Hanks thinks this due to the amount of shorts he's signed up for? Having the TS characters appear in shorts is much better than having a new movie. With Pixar doing all of these sequels...where the hell is Incredibles 2?

Apparently Incredibles 2 hasn't happened yet because Brad Bird hasn't come up with a good story.

Yeah....there's no way 4 will connect to the first three. Now that Andys gone I mean

If Pixar wants Toy Story to continue, just keep on doing the animated shorts. I don't think that there's any problem with the animated shorts.

Maybe Tom Hanks means that Toy Story 4 is actually a series of Animated Shorts that will be collected into a DVD set.

I'm starting to despise Pixar. They're becoming what I never wanted them to: Just a studio that starts churning out sequel after sequel. No one wanted a Cars 2 as much as they did, say, Incredibles 2. Cars 2 was the most unnecessary sequel in the Disney catalog in quite a long time.

Brave is original somewhat, yeah, but after that there's Monsters University (and don't get me wrong, I LOVE Monsters, Inc.) and possibly this? No way.

Pixar needs to take a few years off, come back in 2013 with a new and original movie.

Pixar is having an original movie that'll come out in 2013. Not much else that's known right now.
