I was bored one day and decided to take the music from We Are Marshall, a film I haven't even seen yet, and place it over Spider-Man 2's famous train scene because I always imagined that when I listened to it. Surprisingly it matched up quite well...

Yes I know... There are some rough patches because I didn't spend very much time on it, but I think as a whole the music adds more to the scene than Young's overly-hectic and non-musical constant drumming.

Tell me what you think:

P.S. I rescored a few more scenes with music from We Are Marshall. Tell me if you'd like me to upload them as well.

I think the original is alot better. Yours isn't that bad though. Really good try. :yay:

Absolutely terrible. It actually hurt to watch it.

...and what constant drumming in Young's incredible score are you talking about? It's certainly hectic, but in a good way. In my opinion, it's the greatest action score from the greatest action scene.

Greatest action score? You make me giggle...

No, it actually did. It was like nails on a chalkboard. I'm not joking.
I'm sorry for wasting your time... Just thought I'd let you know that I didn't write the music though.

At least you're kind with your words.

Original score is better, I think.

And the train fight is one of the greatest action scenes ever!

Not going to argue with you over that fact.

1. Typically a "score" means that the audience will be able to hear the sound of the action occurring on screen as well as the music. We can hear Doc Ock's tentacles, but not Spider-Man smashing through glass? Please. :whatever:

2. In truth, they didn't sync up well. Why was it dead silent, save a few drum taps, when Spider-Man was kicking Octavious in the face?

3. High school marching band music does not go well with spider-man. There's really no disputing this.

4. Through the most intense part of the fight, the portion on top of the subway car, you had the music building up to a climax. That doesn't make sense.

5. I couldn't finish listening to it. That's never a good sign.

.
Exact same with me....And agreed with all the points...

1. I saved all the sound effects that I could. Most of them were covered up by the Young score, and made it distracting. Sorry I can't work magic. I can only work with what is available.

2. I feel that for the first four minutes, for the majority of the time it was well in sync. That part definitely wasn't a highlight, but the music builds until the point when he's thrown through the bridge.

3. It might not be as heroic as the music written intentionally for the film, but I feel it fits it well.

4. The music builds until the subway hits the end of the tracks, as it does in the original.

5. Sorry

Dude, you asked if we asked you to make a replacemant score:huh: We're happy with what we got and no one asked for you to fix it then why act like we asked you to rescore it :huh::huh:

Your whole premise seems to be you think the score is bad.

You get defensive because no one agrees with you. We don't have to be polite because it's not your work, it's a poor cut and paste job.

It doesn't work, get over it.

:whatever: ..he didn't say that, he just said he can't make the sound of the movie go along with the score he added, mostly due to editing problems.
And please speak for yourself :o

Yeah well everyone is attacking this guy because he re-scored a scene from a movie  Wow, just when I thought these boards couldn't get anymore pathetic...it just did :whatever:

He didn't re-score a scene from a movie. He copied and pasted someone elses work on to someone elses work. The pathetic thing is defending his "work".

I guess we should tell him it's great even though no one seems to like it.

Nobody's really attacking him. How is expressing a dislike in his work attacking him?.

I actually thought that none of it synced up except for like 1 or 2 parts. A little more time could have been spent, I think like, trying to extract the voices and sfx from the dvd and syncing it up in your vid.

About the music choice, I do agree it sounds like a marching band instead of an orchestra. It really had nothing to do with the action or moments going on on the screen. And Bingy, you were talking about the how distracting the drums in the Young score were, this was a whole lot worst all you hear is that obnoxious rim banging. Sounds like something we would have seen if Cameron directed it back in 92.
