I don't get the MAGA conspiracies that it was the deep state that tried to kill him, like if they wanted to kill someone why would they choose a place with cameras and thousands of witnesses? And why try to kill him if you are going to "steal" the election anyways

When everything is a conspiracy, the most logical, straight-forward and sensible answer is never the correct answer. There is always an angle somewhere and in this case it isn't some hard far-right militia wannabe with atrocious aim, but some deep state antifa assassin who was thwarted by divine intervention or some nonsense.

There is always someone else to point the finger to when you can't accept reality.

Trump supporters are really going to try to further create their false narratives now.

The more news that comes to light though, the more that’s going to backfire against them.

Similar thing happened a few years ago during that Uvalde school shooting. Instead of going into the school to stop the shooter, they all stayed outside where it was safe.
