In fairness, that wasn't half as public as Trump's decline. He was not only smarter than Trump overall but he had a team that helped keep a lid on the worst aspects of it. Despite Ronny's (notable) shortcomings as a human being, he was still more human, self-aware and mature in his left pinky alone than Donald Trump has ever been. While Reagan did things I disagree with, at least I get the sense that he felt he was doing them for the right reason, which I can respect more than someone who will tell you to-your-face that he knows he's a bastard.
