The Decepticon symbol's ugliness speaks for itself and the Autobot symbol looks like it just woke up for some reason.

WHat's wrong with the Decepticon Symbol? All they really did was change the shape of the "eyes", and maybe elongate the symbol itself a bit.

But the eyes are the windows to the soul...

I just find them to be subpar versions of the originals, which were perfect for 20+ years BTW. Especially the Decepticon version. That actually looks horrid while the Autobot symbol just looks wrong.

I just don't see the point in change for the sake of change.

That's not a very good pic and the 3D aspect isn't to everyone's taste. Although I think the basic shape is perfect the way it is...

Spark, I don't see what the big deal is. The Faction Symbols have changed over and over throughout time, particularly in the comics, during G2, and even on newer toys today, the symbols are different proportions than G1's cartoon symbols.

I'm not saying it's a big deal. I'm just saying I don't like it. IDW got along fine without trying to reinvent the wheel. Although seeing as Devastator was a tank and Brawl was a police car it's not very suprising to see things being changed just because they can be.

Things change, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Its a fact of life we all have to deal with. I dont see much difference with the symbols myself. By the way the wheel has been reinvented, you dont see alot of cars using would wheels do you?
