When I first heard of another new Transformers cartoon, I was suprised to hear it wasn't going to have anything to do with the past cartoons, and start afresh.
I wasn't intrested in it, at all. I'm a G1 fan, always have been, anything after that, apart form beast wars, didn't do anything for me.

The I saw a clip of the show, and was shocking suprised about how intrested I had become.

The show is obviously aimed at kids, but while watching it, I couldn't help but feel like the people who have made the show, have made it so people who watched the G1 era could enjoy it. Right down to the old them song finally being used again (even if it has been tweaked a bit), it's the first time I've been excited about a Transformers cartoon in a long time.

And the toys look really good, and will hopfully be a fine addition to my transformers collection.

I'm looking more toward to the Spider-Man cartoon coming in March but I have to say that this toon looks cool even though I'm not a fan of the art and animation. This is coming from a Non-Transformers fan....

I was cool to see the Dinobots and Starscreams voice is great, but the art/animation style just sucks way too much

Yeah, that made me a little ill. I'm sure it'll suck as much as Armada and Energon and all that other trash. Hopefully it'll be forgotten soon and we can go back to anxiously awaiting a good TF return.

I don't know, something about this show is telling me it wont be anything like Energon, Armarda or Cybertron.
It starts afreash, it's a new spin on the show, there isn';t about 1000 different robots, simple designs, dstinctive charcters and such, I really want this show to do well.

They seem to know what they're doing, and know what older fans love about the original, the theme song, starscreams voice, the dinobots, I just get the feeling this'll be good.

Is there any footage of the new spider-man cartoon? or is it just the concept design on youtube thats been revealed?

I'd much rather get something with as much depth and interesting character arcs as Beast Wars again over pretty much anything G1-related. If this new series focuses on a smaller cast, it may have some of that. But that art style is just atrocious.

Yes there's footage on youtube and the concept art is not the art of the show!!! it wasn't accepted and was drawn by a completely different person get it right....anyway the footage for the Spidey toon looks awesome so check it out...

I don't think theres anything wrong with the animation, looks smooth and fluid, it's something new, I mean, it is from the creators or Teen Titans.

That style doesn't look good on the Transformers. I think of TF and I think of giant robots, and giant robots need weight. They need to make the earth rumble beneath their giant robot feet. The TFs in Transformers: Animated look like they're light as feathers--even the gigantic ones.

They do look similar. Maybe they changed some of the characters' clothes in the final versions or something. I remember not liking the way Peter was dressed.

No it was made by a completely different artist but his designs did not pass and was not hired for the job instead Sean " Cheeks" Galloway got the job....

Artist's Comments

Hi all.... So here is some concept art that I worked on for the upcoming Spider-man animated series. I was fortunate enough to be thrown into the mix with some super talented artists to jam on some concept work for the show. These are NOT... I repeat NOT the final designs for the show, just concept. Sony wound up choosing the mega talented Sean "CHEEKS" Galloway for the gig, and to be honest I couldn't think of a better guy for the job! His linework and colors have so much energy!!! I can't wait to see what he comes up with!!!

Anyhow just thought you guys might get a kick out of it!

Yeah, the finished trailer's art does look a lot more refined and less exaggerated than the concept art. I'm looking forward to MJ and Gwen. I didn't like the previous concept artist's designs for them at all.

Yeah, is it the same people behind the new Spidey cartoon as well as the Transformers: Animated cartoon? The latter is done by the same people as Teen Titans...

I found this on Deviantart and no offense to whoever is drawing for the show but I think Sean" Cheeks" Galloway, Spectacular Spider-Man Drawer for the new toon, would've been a better choice art and animation wise....



Take a look at his wonderful Optimus Prime...

and now compare it to this artist's optimus Prime for the new show...

Again no offense but I prefer Sean's WAY WAYYYY more...

Well notice where the cheering and clapping was, when the Dinobots are revealed and Starscream talking.
