Why Is He-man Consider A Gay Cartoon?

I watched as a kid and loved the cartoon. It was on the same hour as Transformers was. I now have rewatched them now that the old cartoons on dvd. The same things make me laugh today. The stupid villains and skeletors far out plans and his rutine with beastman. Orko and Kringers made me laugh and still do.

Now i here how gay this cartoon was and no one should watch it teh same way. He-man is if anything poking fun at a preppie. I never got that it was gay maybe because i was a fan or the fact that i liked the same cartoons as i did then as i do now. I mean honestly these guys did not purposely put a gay cartoon on air for kids.

Honestly how can He-man be gay with Teela, the Sorceress and Evil Lyn. Unless its because all of the muscle strong men. They all were like that. I am not gay myself so maybe that is why i don't see it.

I have even heard people talk about Thundercats, Transformers and Ninja Turtles as gay cartoons.

I never got a gay vibe from He-Man or any of the other cartoons you mentioned. I guess they call it "gay" because He-Man was built like Schwarzenegger and ran around in loincloth and that chest harness thing-a-ma-jig.

you got prince Adam and he is kind of gay, but when he has the "power"(or as most gay people become empowered) he is able to become he-man (and He-Man looks a lot like what most gay men look like). As He-Man he fights Skeletor, now we have skeletons on our closets, gay people come out of the closets, its all metaphor.

Its just a cartoon you guys. Its was designed for kids. I mean 8 year olds don't realize what we might consider as gay . I just don't get why He-Man is picked on so badly with Power Rangers. Pokemon and alot of the modern cartoons of today. To me until this day i see He-man as a rip off of what a Barbarian would be. I will admit about Prince Adams wardrobe but i don't think its as gay as many other crap of today.

I really wonder which i would consider the gayer cartoon He-man or The Comic Cartoons. Which i love too but come on Wolverine is in yellow spandex and Batman and The Boy Wonder. I don't care if its gay or not. I am straight and He-Man never made mE worry about watching it. It has funny stuff in it that still make me laugh.For i have the cartoons on dvd. As well as i have Transformers, Ninja Turtles you know back when cartoons were good. I am hoping to get Gargoyles and Prince Valiant after i am done with He-Man and Ninja Turtles.
