From Seibertron:
Next cartoon is called "Transformers: Prime" according to actor Jeffrey Combs
Real Devastator said:

Debuting later this fall Hasbro in conjunction with Discovery Communications Inc will release a new Transformers cartoon on a new TV channel currently called Discovery Kids called Transformers: Prime.

Jeffrey Combs will be the voice of Ratchet, a very well known character in the Transformers world. There are 26 episodes scheduled for the first season. Exact details of the show are currently unavailable but will be posted here as soon as they are made available.

Jeffrey is quite thrilled with the opportunity to be cast in the role of Ratchet. He's not able to talk too much about the show this early in the production but did have this quote: "What I can say is that it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a prestigious project."

From Seibertron:
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci involved in Transformers: Prime
Dead Metal said:
Seibertron.com members Sabrblade and Autobot032 inform us that the writers of Transformers The Movie (2007) and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are involved in the upcoming cartoon series "Transformers: Prime". But that#s not all as we now have confirmation of the series being CGI.

Kurtzman and Orci, who are working on a "Star Trek" sequel and the Daniel Craig starrer "Cowboys and Aliens" on the feature side, continue to serve as consulting producers on "Fringe" and are executive producers on CBS/CBS Studios' "Hawaii 5-0," which they co-wrote with Peter Lenkov, and on the "Transformers" CG-animated series for upcoming Hasbro/Discovery channel the Hub.

The hell is this doing on Discovery Kids? That's all I've got to say. Isn't Discovery Channel typically about learning? Not watching giant robots attack one another? :o

"Prime" is referring to prime numbers?

Hey! We all need to be prepared for such an event. This is totally educational. :o

I have the regular Discovery Channel but I'm not subscribed to the Hub Channel so I won't be able to watch it. The Hub Channel is only a branch off channel of The Discovery Channel & they won't be showing the same things.

Looks good! About time they got back to doing this type of transformers. Reminds me of Beastwars somewhat.

Have to say i'm surprised to see The Rock in the cast listing for this...

Will be checking this out when i can...

Oh great, so they're based more on Bay's Transformers than anythings else....

Well I would definitely take this new Starscream over the chicken one from the movies.

Also do we need Bulkhead on the team again so soon after "Animated"? He's just become CGI'd instead of old fashion animated.

At least his alt mode is different

Is this animated series based on Michael Bay's TF movies? The designs look similar to Bayformers.

It's the reverse situation of "Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes"

Interesting that some of the designs look like a cross between The Bay movies and Animated. I wouldn't think that would work but it does on some more than others. Not crazy about some of the Decepticon designs but I'm still curious about the show.

A couple of things: Fist, this is not based on Bayverse of Transformers. It more based on War for Cyberton (video game). Second Discovery Kids is now The HUB which is own By HASBRO. Third, this is gonna be a 5 episode miniseries no word on a full series.

I think it looks good. I think the characters have a close enough likeness to how I picture them. Unlike the live-action movies.

What the heck is "transversing"? The first word on the bottom of the poster? Do they mean "traversing"? I'm pretty sure transversing isn't a word.

I've never heard of "the hub" channel either.

It's funny to hear The Rock voice a transformer

The Hub is rapidly becoming one of my favorite channels. Some great television programming coming from these people. Classic Batman, Happy Days, Family Ties.

after watching the 1st episode on youtube, I like it so far, but Bumblebee does not talk in this new series, that's lame, still will watch the rest of the series tho ;).

Wow didnt know this started. First two episodes were great! Havent enjoyed a TF show since BW/BM.
