I'm just guessing here, but there's probably close to ten t.v. spots now, several trailers, plus several "exclusive" clips released on different channels.

Personally, I stopped watching new footage after the Yahoo trailer, because I'm afraid Transformers is going down the same route as Spiderman 3, in that we all saw too much before actually watching the movie (even though Spiderman 3 was still doomed to mediocre film experience).

So while it's good Transformers is getting a massive amount of attention in the media, I ask: When does too much of a good thing become bad?

I don't think they'll show too much. It's been said a few times that we aren't actually geting that many new CLIPS but we are getting a second or two added onto many of the older clips instead.

I think that they shoulod maybe release one or two new TV spots maximum fomr now onwards and (hopefully) the montage sequence found on the Autobotsrollout.com site.

That wouuld be more than enough i'd say.

I hope you're right. But if Shia, Megan, Michael, and the rest of the crew make several more guest appereances you can probably bet they'll bring with them more exclusive clips... which means more new footage on television before the big screen.

I still dont think they have even close to as much as spiderman 3 did. They had a few trailers and tv spots as I remember, and they also had that 7 minute spot that aired. The one that showed Peter and Harry fighting. The Transformers have not shown very much, in my opinion. As the other post says, most of the footage is repeated with a small bit added in. It is basically just enough to get you hyped up again. This movie is going to be awesome.:trans:

I loved Spiderman 3.

Anyway, I'm trying to avoid anymore videos for Transformers...even though I am extremely geeked out to see this film!!!

I loved Spiderman 3.

Woah slow down there fella, we don't want to be saying things we will regret later on in life.

Seriously though, Its true that a lot of them just repeat the same stuff but slightly edited differently. The most important thing is that they have not given away any of the plot (if there even is a plot  )

No seriously...I mean heck...Spidey 3 blew away Spidey 2 in terms of box office. and I feel it's a completely understood and underated film. :)

Ok ok...not to de-reail things...

I think it's great that the movie is getting so much coverage and not just slipping in under the radar. I want to see this film be a massive hit. And I think it will...it's got that big summer blockbuster action flick vibe for the general audience and it's freakin' Transformers for the fans! :)

I to loved Spider-Man 3...

Anyway: I think there has been a nice amount of footage released so far and I don't think we have been over saturated.

I dunno. With the exception of folks like us on these boards I totally ain't feeling the sense of anticipation on the streets, coworkers, or friends. I mean, my daughter, 3rd grader, sees the TF commercials all the time (they play em on Nick) and she couldn't care less... and from what she tells me neither do the boys in the class. I'll admit the teen market however is something I have no pulse on.

I personally think they've shown TOO MUCH in the commercials... there's no mystery. It's worked on *us* as fans, but I'm not sure most avg people aren't just yawning.

I think I've seen enough, anything new coming out I'll have to painfully ignore. See y'all back during premiere week June 27-July 8. Adios!!

I to loved Spider-Man 3...

I can also tell you I'm pretty sure the college aged teenage demographic is anticipating the film coming out as well.

I also know that there are some people who said TF winning that MTV thing was rigged, I was skeptical- until I saw the polls on the misc. movies forum where TF literally won by a LAND SLIDE! So, if that MTV is anything to go by- it's alot of teenagers anticipating this movie.

Children? I don't know. I would say probably more of a child during the 90s and over that is looking forward to the film most.

It wasn't rigged. Remember when the very first trailer came out last year? The internet hits for that trailer was, by far and away, the highest ever for a movie trailer. Lots of people want to see this movie. I'm just afraid by the time the media blitz is over with we'll have been spoiled to many great shots, as what happened with Spiderman 3.

Are you talking about the Yahoo thing. Michael Bay kept saying that (how it beat Spider-man 3)... but what he failed to mention was that the Spider-man 3 trailer had debut somewhere else, while Transformers was exclusive to Yahoo..... so the Yahoo "hit count" was skewed. Spider-man 3 beat it far and wide AFAIK.

I agree, I know a lot of my friends can't wait for this film. My 3 year old nephew loves watching the clips from on my comp so were he old enough he would love to go and see it.

Exactly. It wasn't really fair.

SM3 had more hype, I believe.... but now, TF is the most hyped film of the summer.

It's funny, some posters on here- on SHH- were saying that the MTV thing was rigged and then when SHH had a similar poll, TF won by more than an amazing landslide victory. That 'what is your next most excited film' thing wasn't rigged. At least imo... because, I've seen A LOT more people excited about TF than the other films coming out the rest of the summer. It's new, it's fresh, it's revolutionary and it sure looks amazing.

Amen to that dear brother...Amen to that

Well if SM3 was actaully a good movie, all the clips in the world wouldn't have ruined it. But the movie was sub par, so in the end that's what hurt it. Here's hoping TF isn't along the same lines.

I stand corrected then!
