Regarding the trailer… I don’t think it looks great but I’m so burned out on bad live action Transformers movies that I can’t fault them too much for trying something different and aiming for a younger audience. It’s not like the Transformers cartoons I watched when I was a kid was any less juvenile, really.

Anyway, they missed a golden opportunity to troll all of us old Transformers fans. If only the had played a few bars of the chorus of Start Me Up. “YOU MAKE A GROWN MAN CRYYYYY…”

I really wanted to like the trailer but it all felt just a bit too kiddy for me. This is supposed to be a dark story of 2 brothers falling out and starting a war that basically destroys a planet.

The humor and jokes really aren't doing it for me, but I will see it regardless.

Okay hearing that this gets quite dark in the 3rd act has me interested slightly again. All of the humour and silly parts in the past trailer must have been from the 1st act.

I'm a little surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reactions but I guess it's not so different from the response to TMNT: Mutant Mayhem last year. I'm definitely going to check this out once it hits streaming.
