Transformers One Animated Film

Why do I get the feeling that Megs fall to the darkness has to do with absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Definitely going with the idea of a lot of bots with inequalities that a lot of the lore around this time uses.

Holy crap, I was expecting this to be pretty good from the advance screening reactions I read about a month or so ago, but I wasn’t expecting this good.

Definitely looking forward to watching this when it comes to home video.

Nice to see Hemsworth get another well received film under his belt outside of the usual Marvel stuff. It’s 3 on a row now and I hope he keeps that momentum going, he just needs to break that BO “curse” at some point.

Wow, this is one of those rare cases where it’s the reviews that will get me to see the movie and not the trailers.

Whoever is doing the marketing for this should be fired for how bad all these trailers have been considering how good the movie is according to all these reviews. This “lower” opening is reflected of that before WOM kicks in.

Surprisingly this movie is great. I really wasn't expecting it to be an emotional impact. Is it perfect?! No but it's got heart. I love seeing the journey of Orion Pax to Optimus Prime.

Yeah, this was fantastic. Yeah, there is a good amount of humor. But that is about par for course for blockbusters these days. Blame Marvel.

I admit, I laughed at the A-Atron joke. Hard.

But this is just a fantastic origin of Transformers. I love this more than Megatron being in a gladiator pit. Rather than violence being force on him, it is him embracing violence because of his anger. And the societal structure that the trailers only hint at, is so much more horrific than I expected. Ripping out a protoform's transformation cog before they come online in order to have a labor force? I mean, Sentinel was out of touch in IDW, but dear god, one doesn't blame Megatron in this movie.

I did love seeing Primus transformed in the prologue. I do wonder what their plan is for other movies. Because the Quintessions are still an issue. And I would love to see the list of Primes they had for their 13. Because Zeta looked way too much like Galvatron toy.

Voice acting was fine. Bryan Tyree Hill was the stand out. Hemsworth did fine, though it felt like he struggled at times to control his natural accent.

Also funny that the post credit scene was largely in trailers.
