I bought the version with the error in it. Pages 2 and 5 are switched or some such. It has a B&W sketch cover.

Thee comic also reveals that Optimus Prime and Megatron once ruled Cybertron together as colleagues. With Megatron tasked as chief guardian to all spark, and at somepoint he becomes corrupted, and soon The Great War begins when he decides he wished to posses the all spark rather then safeguard it

Good art...not a whole lot happens...they try to explain Bumblee's voice but it still doesn't make sense to me how a robot cannot be repaired in any area...but the end of this issue has Megatron flying off into space on the trail of the All Spark, and the Autobots in not so hot pursuit.

I have issue #2 on hold for me at my friendly neighbourhood comic shop. Also gonna pick up Soundwave spotlight. Only a few short hours until work is done

Issue 2 is pretty interesting. The storyline is not far from what I ahd pieced together after reading the leaked script. One thing that has bugged me though is

why Megatron was frozen in ice for so long, as though he was affected by cold. He flew in space (very cold) and entered the atmosphere (very hot). The whole vulnerability to super cold and super hot as a weapons tactic by the humans just doesn't jive with that.

They try to address it, and do a halfway good job. Best they can given the circumstances I guess.

Maybe it has something to do with the distance in travelling from Cybertron.

As in, it took a lot of power to do so and coupled with the extreme cold and then the extreme heat of re-entry not to mention the crash as depicted probably took the wind out of him enough to power down for an ice age or two.

Just a thought.

Yeah, I was always under the impression that it would be an energy related issue. He probably shut himself down into some kind of standby mode waiting for back up.

I picked up both issue 1 and 2 today and I gotta say that Simon Furman, Chris Ryall, and Don Figuerroa have done a good job of making this story some-what intelligent. The scene with Bumble bee being interrogated by Megatron is quite good and you really feel for BB, poor fella. Just a little spoiler for those that have not seen it, [BLACKOUT]if you can recall from the first movie trailer a TF makes a quick appearance in the Beagle Rover footage on Mars, the comic pretty much confirms that was BB destroying it.[/BLACKOUT] Its a shame that the comic issues are short.

So Megatron basically replaces The Ark as a plot device? Ohhkaayy.

Do they explain where they get their unlimited supply of energy from? Are they nuclear powered? Antimatter reactor powered? Singularity? What? Do they eat? So, different types of energy are no longer a sort of "food" for them (meaning they don't prefer one kind over another).

Why are they fighting? Are they fighting solely over the magical Last Engineer/Giver of Life (ripped straight out of Gobots) thingy?

Bumblebee is being "interrogated?" Why? Can't they just hook up an interface into a computer and get his information?
