From Seibertron:
Next cartoon is called "Transformers: Prime" according to actor Jeffrey Combs
Real Devastator said:

Debuting later this fall Hasbro in conjunction with Discovery Communications Inc will release a new Transformers cartoon on a new TV channel currently called Discovery Kids called Transformers: Prime.

Jeffrey Combs will be the voice of Ratchet, a very well known character in the Transformers world. There are 26 episodes scheduled for the first season. Exact details of the show are currently unavailable but will be posted here as soon as they are made available.

Jeffrey is quite thrilled with the opportunity to be cast in the role of Ratchet. He's not able to talk too much about the show this early in the production but did have this quote: "What I can say is that it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a prestigious project."

From Seibertron:
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci involved in Transformers: Prime

Seibertron.com members Sabrblade and Autobot032 inform us that the writers of Transformers The Movie (2007) and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are involved in the upcoming cartoon series "Transformers: Prime". But that#s not all as we now have confirmation of the series being CGI.

Kurtzman and Orci, who are working on a "Star Trek" sequel and the Daniel Craig starrer "Cowboys and Aliens" on the feature side, continue to serve as consulting producers on "Fringe" and are executive producers on CBS/CBS Studios' "Hawaii 5-0," which they co-wrote with Peter Lenkov, and on the "Transformers" CG-animated series for upcoming Hasbro/Discovery channel the Hub.

From the Botcon 2010 panel: http://www.seibertron.com/transform...er-and-cullen-reprise-roles-soundwave-/19044/

Full CG show (computer animation cartoon)
Movie set the bar for Autobot - Decepticon action
Crazy awesome action
Amazed at what they have in the show
Level of CG never been attempted for TV
Show picks up on Earth
Bots and Cons have been living on Earth for a while
Group of Autobots stayed behind
Some have left
Cybertron is a bit of a husk
Decepticon activity is at a minimum
Decepticons return
Optimus Prime is leading the Autobots
Megatron returns
Group of Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee (motorcycle), Bulkhead, Ratchet, Cliffjumper
Group of Decepticons: Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave
Exploring the characters in new and different ways
People behind the show really do get it
Currently working on the last few scripts of the first season
26 episodes initially

CakeMix Studios
Peter Cullen and Frank Welker as voice actors
Doing a more "softer, evil side" voice for Megatron
Cullen: privilege to work with Welker
Showed video clip of Cullen and Welker talking about each other, how great it is to work with each other again, and them doing a recording session together. Pretty awesome.

Megatron has some classic elements to his look. Bucket head, arm cannon. G1 is biggest reference.
Prime looks like a cross between movie prime and WFC Prime.

Can't reveal other voice actors at this time.

Megatron transforms into a jet. He is not an Earth vehicle. Very space age looking jet. Cybertronian technology. Lot of fire power.

Goal is around 65 episodes to offset the cost of creating the CG models
Really focused on the G1 point of view
If you're a fan of TFA or Beast Wars, there might be some nods to those series in first season but focus is G1

Not sure what it will air on internationally and Canada

Wouldn't answer questions about Transformers Prime toys.

Yes there will be humans. Show is bot-centric however.
Alluded to there being a macguffin

Optimus Prime transforms into a aemi-truck similar to the movie
Bumblebee transforms into a Camaro looking car
Megatron transforms into a jet similar to the 1st movie jet

Look of the robots reminds me of the movie, but stylized (ala the Bumblebee images we've already seen)

Bulkhead's alt mode pulls from the "lore". Assuming he will have a mode similar to his TFA self.
Arcee will have one bot humanoid mode. Will NOT be like ROTF version.
Cliffjumper will have his own bot mode. Not a Bumblebee repaint

Susan Blu was directing Welker and Cullen in video they showed us. Could she be Arcee?

The Hub channel debuts 10-10-10 (October 10th, 2010). Transformers: Prime might not initially debut with the channel and might be a month or two behind the channel's launch

Of course, Bumblebee is the only 'bot from TF: P we've seen so far:

I'm so glad to hear that Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are returning as Optimus Prime and Megatron .

Yeah, the voice cast is definitely looking great so far. Jeffery Combs, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. Count me in.:word:

Is it true that Johnny Yong Bosch is reprising role as Bumblebee from War of Cybertron in this tv series ?

Not bad, Prime's shoulders arms and legs look like the same design from Transformers : Animated . His face is looks like War For Crybertron's model and his chest look like the design from Bay's films .

I don't like the skinny sharp look of the Transformers in Prime. There's no way a robot that slim would form a full sized car.

Hopefully the story is strong but I won't get my hopes up since it's from the guys who did Bayformers.

No Starscream or Soundwave this showing. :(

I just found out about this browsing on TF Wiki. I haven't watched a TF cartoon since Armada, though the last one I really followed was Robots in Disguise. This looks very promising.

I actually like the designs but I agree that these are some of the more improbable Transformers.

I hope I'm wrong but I predict there will be no toys based on this cartoon or if they do make them than they will not be very screen accurate. :csad:

Still looks better than Transformers Animated.

Eric Siebenaler from Hasbro hinted at Botcon that there might be an Optimus toy (some of the other TF sites also mention rumblings about Bulkhead, who's also in the new show).

And even if it's true, I don't suspect it would be any worse in show-accuracy than some of the first Movie figures - in the decade since Beast Machines, Hasbro/Takara have come a LONG way in getting the toys to closely resemble their screen counterparts. It's just another nut for them to crack, IMO.

No question that Hasbro/Takara are great at what they do. But I can't help but think that at least one or both of the modes of the Optimus toy (if they really make it) will be compromised in some way. As impressive as the leader class ROTF Optimus Prime toy is, it still has an unflattering amount of backpack kibble. I can see the same happening to this version of Prime. Still hope I'm wrong. I really really want a toy of this version of Cliffjumper.

This is why everyone needs to buy the Battle for Cybertron toys. We should get toys of all the characters from the game. Getting Optimus, Megaton, Bumblebee, and Soundwave is NOT enough. We need Starscream, Jetfire, and everyone else.
