I cannot believe they wasted the Matrix of Leadership story line into such a trivial thing as a key that collects energy.

It collected energy? I thought it was just a key that allowed that energy to be used. It's "the button", so to speak.

BAD ASS!!! plain and simple. It's not g1, its new. The plot is what it should be, Decepticons want power, the Autobots... wait for it
STOP THEM

I wouldn't be bothered by that either. I'm just saying that the 10 times I visited the museum I didn't see any plane exhibits or jet graveyards on the outside. The museum is surrounded by other museums, a rapid transit system, The White house, Washington Monument, streets, shrubbery, trees, tourists, and other tourist attractions. I can also confirm that there's no desert in Washington DC.

you mean it's not a god forsaken wasteland where nothing of value grows?...you're sure?

Man people just dont like movies this summer i guess. We have huge blockbusters like Terminator and TROTF and theyre being criticized like its the worst thing ever and then you got movies like Drag me to Hell and Hangover being applauded? Doesnt make sense to me.

Transformers ROTF was a really good movie. i gave it a 9.5/10 kinda let me down at the end but that was that. Transformations were good. Fight scenes were amazing. how the government pretty much wanted the Transformers outta there was a good idea for the story. The story was good, action scenes were great. And i loved the characters that were new to this film (ones that actually had speaking roles).

One thing i would say for the next film to be better is that they should cut down on the amount of the characters. And made add a little bit more strategy to the fights and story. (For example in BW, Megatron was always ahead of everyone and was a strategist which i loved, not only him the whole story had strategy as to whether how they would attack, etc.)

I loved Beast Wars Megatron his voice talent was really good fitted him perfectly

As did I..the transformations look as cool as they did before

i have to see it again but i didnt have any issues with transforming

The only thing that annoyed me is that they still didn't manage to fix the paint jobs on the Transformers, but when they Transform into cars they haven't got a scratch on them. Just a nitpick. Doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie, other parts take care of that.

Saw the movie today. I voted 'Good'.

I thought some parts were really great, but overall there were too many flaws. I didn't mind the 2,5 hrs running time, I just think they could've used it better. Less comedy, less pointless scenes, less one-liners and less explosions. Yes... Less explosions. After a while I just got numb. It didn't make a real impression anymore.

The SFX were very good, although at times it looked a little bit like a videogame. In my opinion that's a sign that they're overused.

The scrotum. Yeah, what can I say? It's a stupid joke, yet Turturro's facial expression and the way he said it, made me chuckle a little bit. Sam's parents were not that bad. They're both pretty good actors (what I meant was: they've done other stuff where they can show their talents). Mudflap and Skids didn't have to be in the movie. Alice didn't have to be in the movie. The Arcee's were not used well and thus fairly unneccesary. They couldn't do any damage and didn't.

Another thing that bugged me a little was: all of a sudden Prime is much stronger than he was in the first movie. Because of the few alterations? I really liked him getting Jetfire's parts. But him beating The Fallen that easily? Moments before he's like a god, lifting everything around the pyramid with his mind, but when he battles an upgraded Prime, he suddenly can't even throw a punch.

Conclusion: I felt like the movie was written in one day and after that they spend a year on the wow-factor. It did achieve that in a few moments, but ultimately it fails to beat the first TF movie, which was far more entertaining, in my opinion.

I too think I prefer the first, but this was alright.

the Fallen did land more than a few punches on Prime. Infact he damaged one of the boosters on his Jetfire form which is why he cast it off at the end

i liked the scene where Optimus dropped out of the plane and transformed
i also liked how he transforms in the air.
but hes first transformation is IMO 100 times better then ROTF. and i am a little sad. maybe they will never top this.

the first time you see something is always going to be the best. Because until that time you didnt know what to expect.

What doesn't make sense? I like mindless summer blockbusters like most people, but just like every other genre, there are good popcorn flicks and awful ones. I happen to think Revenge of the Fallen epitomizes some of the worst aspects of summer films, but I'm apparently in the vast minority.

This summer has been lackluster. It's a simple explanation really. Other than Star Trek and Up, this summer has been mostly mediocre to bad films. Smaller films like Drag Me to Hell have less expectations than movies like ROTF or Wolverine, and that is a smaller movie.

While I still say this movie wasn't bad (well, film wise it is, but it's enjoyable), it definately is not as good as the first one and very flawed. Compare the films from this summer to last summer, and we'll see how superior last summer was to this one. This summer is more like 2007 was, utterly disappointing with 1 or 2 gems.

the angle,lighting,music.....everything was perfect.

exactly its like watching Christopher Reeve take flight as Superman for the first time...it was magic. Everytime after that wasnt as magical

That's probably why I love the 'Blackout attack on Soccent base' scene so much. The first transformation in the movie and the mayhem after that were new. Like I said in my review, after a while you get used to it and it makes less impression on you. At last, that's what I felt.

It won't ever be as awesome as the first time again, and it doesn't bother me. Not everytime they Transform it needs to look awe inspiring and dramatic. What needs to be better and should have been better is the action. They did that for the most part with Prime, but I would've liked to see more Decepticon Vs Autobot action, like Jazz, Ironhide and Ratchet taking on brawl together, Starscream swooping in and dishing out some pain, stuff like, instead of two sides taking cover and shooting at each other. And after the display of power, the Fallen shouldn't have been such a wuss.

One of the best fan moments of my life was in the first, when the Autobots arrive and transform.

Well what they need to work on is Character developement. As much as i liked this film i still didnt get most of the characters (with the exception of Prime, BB)

I'd like to learn more about the characters. For instance, in the comics we learn that Chromia and Ironhide had a previos friendship so they were glad to fight along side each other again.. I didnt see that in the film.

And Starscream, in evry other series hes been in has had this plot to take down megatron, and so we learn that he wants overtake megs and hes sneaky, which i also havent seen in the film series.

Megtron is usually this smart evil transformer that always acts like he kinda doesnt know whats going on but hes always one step ahead of everyone and has an evil strategy (much like BW megs) And so far ive always seen him wanna kill humans and take down autobots.

And finally, i just dont know what the other autobots and decepticons are like. Thats why i only want 5-6 autobots and decepticons on each side in the next film maybe even less. Or maybe just have a couple big scenes with some great dialogue between them.

And im a huge fan of this film, but it has the potential to be great.

so jazz is dead right? didnt ROTF show that with the piece of allspark they could bring jazz back?

I haven't seen RotF yet but maybe those last two you mentioned were applauded because one was a pretty damn funny and wild comedy while the other was a great return to form for someone who mastered the comedy/horror genre mix and busted out another great one. Which in my opinion owned a lot of these 'serious' horror films that have been coming out the past number of years and have been full of fail.
