From what bay said there not going to show the robot modes until we see the movie which I like leaves the suprise in for the first time we see them change.

I don't think there needless changes if you think about like the robot modes the ones from the show just won't work. You have to make it look real that a car can turn into this real robot that moves.

I'm talking about alt-modes, not robot modes. For instance, in terms of overall shape there's no difference between that box search & rescue vehicle and a box ambulance. It was just a needless asthetic change like most of the others IMO.

I have no idea why they changed the ambulance but this isn't G1 this is a new stroy line. So I can care less if they change there robot modes,alt-modes,voices,or the way they think. This isn't G1 this isn't the comics so we still have those stories so lets start fresh with this movie and like it. Bays not raping anyones child hood he is just making another transformers universe like so many other have done before him.

Well it's based on G1 so comparisons are going to be made with the original source material, and I'm not going to pretend I like something when I don't.

They'll just have to take the praise with the criticism like every other artist out there.

i just watched the first episodes on youtube and i gotta say the movie is probably going to be an improvement over the kiddie crap the old cartoon was. fanboys who say bay is raping their childhoods need to grow up and raise their standards.

Quite the contrary. For the movie, they seem to find it necessary to make the Decepticons look demonic so that the audience will know "ah, evil!".
That's dumbing down an 80s cartoon.
Which that was based on a toyline.
Says a lot about what they think about their audience.
