Realy? I actualy enjoyed Caspian much more, and Dawn Treader just felt too corny for me, expecialy that last Aslan scene which kinda works like christian propaganda.
Its a shame they would have to reboot it. There is no reason for it. Legacy was one of the the best visual and musical experiences in a while, regardless of character and all that stuff, it's a very stylized film to behold and very unique to other franchises. Disney pulling the plug although not surprising . Its really really disappointing, the studio that once did fantasia and didn't give a **** about profit , test audience or any of that ****, now plays it the safest way possible. They say that they take risks with gotg and all that but come on, it has the marvel brand to back it up. It wasn't as risky as people think it was. That's why you need a millionaire mongul like Disney or Lucas, that they took risks and put their own money and took the risks, regardless of the profits. Hell most of the animated movies from Disney didn't make a lot in the BO but he didn't care, he just wanted to fulfill a vision regardless the results. There's is not a guy like that in Hollywood anymore, its all run by scary, greedy and brain less people. The industry feels wrong now, that a thing like mad max is on the movie theater's its almost too bizarre
The problems with the series started in earnest with the switch of focus onto Jack.I liked Keira and Orlando's characters but clearly they were not needed for the sequel. Keira was off raising her kids and Orlando was captaining the flying dutchman.
I think the bigger problem was their replacements Sam Caflin and mermaid girl were not interesting.
So Tron Legacy's budget was $170m and it brought in $178m domestically plus $228m worldwide to a total of $400m. It wasn't a success domestically, but internationally it was a success. Overall, the film more than doubled its budget.
Comparatively, Batman Begins had a $150m budget and brought in $205m - still by no means a "success", but factor in world wide budget and it brought in $374m.
Batman Begins also had better marketing than Tron: Legacy, and still, Tron Legacy was a bigger success. Because it was well received by those who DID see it and with the brilliant marketing of TDK, The Dark Knight made 4x its budget domestically and a BILLION dollars internationally.
Although the film didn't do well domestically, it was a hit internationally and it was well enough received to set the foundation for a bigger sequel. ****ing Disney...
This is so far off. Batman Begins was a big success in the end, because it never went away. It had great reviews, great legs and some all time DVD sales. It showed that the more people that saw it loved it. That laid the ground work for TDK.So Tron Legacy's budget was $170m and it brought in $178m domestically plus $228m worldwide to a total of $400m. I don't know the exact numbers, but my money would be on Batman Begins selling more tickets then Tron Legacy, which had the benefits of 3D, inflation and a stronger international market.
Well Tron people aren't actual people. They're programs.Disney does not care about Tron people.
