I challenge anyone to name a better action/comedy.

FYI I don't consider Die Hard an action/comedy.

I don't know about the best comedic action thriller of our time, but it's definitely Cameron's proof he's much more than a revolutionist in the field of technology. He really can lay back and make an excellent film without technology butting in.

And I'll name Lethal Weapon as an action comedy film that should definitely be ranked.

It definitely has its hilarious moments, but I wouldn't call it an action-comedy.

Great action film though. Still waiting for the sequel when Arnold returns.

And yes. He still has it in him.

I think I may have talked about this with you already... but he ain't coming back... he'll run for senate once his term is up... that's another two years... even if he loses... you are looking at what? 2012? 2014? Who knows if he'll be anywhere near movie shape. He'll probably have small cameo/extended appearances here and there... but I think the action lead days are over.

I know he and Cameron would have loved to do a sequel.

I believe they had a full length screenplay written, and were about to regroup the original cast when it all fell apart.

Haha there was a movie too, about Tom Arnold trying to get the sequel to move forward. It was called The Kid & I

I think a sequel would have definitely worked though, I mean it had the perfect ending with them teaming up on a job. I think it would've worked

They set a sequel up nice... I'll always wonder how Curtis would have played a super spy... who ever knew she'd look that good in that dress with that chest? I'm suprised they didn't revisit a sequel since Eraser was pretty much Arnold's last HUGE hit... end of days was meh... what else did he do in bewteen?

Didn't he do 6th Day around that time?

One of the best, but it doesn't quite earn the big title. Loved it tho!

Jamie Lee was the hottest I had ever seen her in her little strip tease in True Lies but she isn't so hot anymore. :csad:

They could bring back Eliza Dushku as Dana Tasker & develop a sequel around her where she became a secret agent like her dad & has to hide it from her mother. Maybe her father could be kidnapped & she has to go & rescue him & then maybe Arnold could make a cameo appearance & help his daughter fight off the bad guys in the big action finale.

this movie was god like

"GIMME THE KEY CHILD"

the effects on this film are top notch, truly awesome

and some of the one liners in this are hilarious,

best scene has to be when arnold tells the surgeon guy how he is going to kill him,

absolutely priceless!

oh yeah, would love to see a sequel with eliza dushku in it!!

dushku is hot as hell!!

Yeah, I think Arnold has moved on to other pasteurs, just like when he decided to move on from bodybuilding. He's a politician now. We may see him pop up in movies some time in the future but I think that's the extent. Arnold was my generation's John Wayne. He was a fixture. It's going to be weird thinking that the generations coming up will think of Arnold as a politician first.

Personally I think it's the weakest movie from James Cameron, so far. But still a lot better than anything a director like Michael Bay has ever done... :)

I love this movie, I honestly can't think of another film that combines great laughs with spectacular action as well as True Lies.

If we're talking pure action/comedy. That being a comedy with alotta action but with very little of any other genre. Hot Fuzz is the best.

Meh... I was talking in terms of a direct sequel... something that would have happened already in 1997/1998... Arnold's movies were crap after Eraser (I mean Jingle All the Way was probably his next best effort or maybe T3)... If there was ever a time to make a sequel it was then.

Not quite sure about it being the best but it is definately up there, a great and very under-rated movie, with another hilarious Bill Paxton performance. Its a shame they never got round to doing the sequel.

Love this movie my two favorite parts are when the bad guy shoots at Tom Arnold on the street and he hides behind a light pole and actually doesn't get hit. That or "What kind of sick b*tch steals take the ice cube trays from the refridgerator?" that line always pops in my head when I fill my ice cube trays.

Although I think Lethal Weapon 1 or 2 is the better action comedy.
