Endgame Try and guess the title of Avengers 4

Maybe not, but they could sure use it. All of the sub-headers have had a draw.

The First Avenger (setting the foundation)
The Dark World (speaks for itself there)
Winter Solider (signifying a cold killer?)
Age of Ultron (signifying a new age (in the theme of drones and cybernetics)
Civil War (signifies infighting among friend?)
Homecoming (maybe retelling of a tale?)
Ragnarok (end of days)
Infinity War (signifying a war based around the Infinity Gauntlet)
Ant Man & The Wasp (signifying a new character)

All of these draw inspiration or sound like they have some genuine appeal. To then throw in Avengers Forever ... doesn't quite have the same draw to it, at least not for me. If it's not going to be Infinity Gauntlet, I'll truly be amazed if it's Secret War(s) or Forever.

Kinda convinced it's this now. The first one was Avengers: Assemble and this will be the last one with Cap, Iron Man, Thor etc so it makes sense thematically.

Then Avengers 5 will be New Avengers.

Avengers Forever.

We know from BTS that Tony likely travels through time somehow. So the team going through timelines to undo what Thanos did would be my guess as to an element that makes up a huge part of the film, as it was part of the comic book story. Then there's the fact that a Capt. Marvel, Genis, was a big part of the story in AF. Well... How do we ultimately end IW? The introduction of Capt. Marvel, in this case Carol Danvers into the MCU. Then there's just the theme of the Avengers being around even if there is a shake up of the make up of the team with longtime members leaving, and yet the team still perseveres with a new group taking the helm. Whether or not Thor, Cap and Iron Man are there... The Avengers are still around to keep the promise to protect Earth as was noted in the Fury dialog at the end of A1.

See, while I think that the film will have desperation to spare ultimately I think it will had loads of optimism. Tons of it. Coming full circle it will try to recapture the feel and emotions of A1. I am not even sure they will kill off characters like Cap or Tony or Thor.

Which brings me to a thought for the title...


AVENGERS: SECRET WAR


Before the usual fanboy stuff about it not havingvthe plot of the comic story... We were never promised that the films would follow the comics in exactitude. I mean WS wasn't the story from the books and neither was CW. Nor did IW follow the Guantlet story beat for beat. Tons was changed.

Just hear me out... Tony and the remaining characters launch a secret campaign to undo the Nad Titans actions across time and space, a Secret War that is under the radar on many levels. Just throwing that out there.
