They're probably all Halo fanboys so I wouldn't put much stock in their opinions of other FPS. I'll bet they're going to give Halo 3 GOTY over Call of Duty 4 and Orange Box.

I'd probably agree with ya but ur one of those PS3 Nazis so of course you wouldn't put much stock in OXM.

But for the record, I think OXM's reviews are terrible.

In general, reading official magazines for the reviews is like reading dirty magazines for the articles. You don't need to be a Playstation nazi or an Xbox terrorist for that to apply.

Well, the game has gotten a 9.0 from Play Magazine, however that means pretty much nothing since you practically have to pay them to give your game less than a 9.0.

Tim, Play magazine gave Lair a 9. Thats all I have to say

Just played the demo, and.....it shows potential, but the demo sucks.

What the hell was Propaganda and Disney thinking, when they thought it would be cool to release a demo inside a cave?
Not only doesn´t make justice to the graphics, the gameplay becames very confined.
It´s cool to have a level in a cave, but not as a demo.
But i liked the sound design, very good

My only problem, it gives the notion of being to damn easy.
The was a point were i, surrounded by 4 dinos, killed them all with the knife....and it was damn easy too.

It took me forever to beat that part near the end though, where all the soldiers jump from the aircraft and stat blasting you. They had a bit of fight in 'em, I gotta say.

Yea, I felt the same way. I found myself just running around with the knife. I thought the game was much better than i thought it would be, but im not sure if ill be picking this one up or not. I pretty much have my fill with shooters at the moment.

OK, after reading some reviews i came to the conclusion of what the real value is, can´t say i wasn´t expecting more, but it´s on the same level give or take.
A good FPS, that just can not compete with Halo 3, CoD 4 or Bioshock.

Without playing the game (only the demo), but basing myself on the reviews, i say that this one deserves a 7.8, give or take.
I´ll get it on Ebay.

This game is seriously off the hook. Love killing dinosaurs.

Also just being able to play a Turok game again brings along with it something that not many new first person shooters offer- nostalgia.

Hell. There are even sequences when there are three way fights between you, the dinosaurs and the bad guys!

Overall, 10/10.

I was at Wal-Mart today and they had the Turok: Son of Stone DVD. It's funny, because they put it on a shelf with a bunch of cartoons and kiddy crap, even though there's a little sticker on the box that says "Warning: Contains graphic violence. Not appropriate for children."

I'll probably rent the movie when my brother gets back from visiting his girlfriend, because he likes animated stuff too. I'd probably have the game by now, if it weren't for the fact that I'm broke and I just bought Devil May Cry 4 special edition for $70. Add to that the fact that Burnout Paradise just came out too, and I'm looking at a very crowded buying schedule. Argh...

I didn't like the demo at first and I couldn't put my finger on it. Then I watched the gametrailers.com review and at the end they said that they had problems with the default aiming speed. I tried again with the speed knocked down two notches and it made a world of difference.

The eBay prices on this game are pretty good, so maybe I'll pick it up soon. I bought the Turok DTV movie a few days ago and liked it, so now I'm in kind of a Turok mood.
