Spider-man three was over blown crap and it was silly. The prequels were no worse than the OT and the only reason they get a bad rap is because they gave what "fans" claim they wanted. A good story that was more than vader and lightsaber duels.

From what I understand, the series will be take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. So we will finally get to see the Bothan spys that stole the Death Star plans. Plus I would have to assume that they will show Vader hunting down and killing all the remaining Jedi.

All in all it could be a great series.

My idea of a Star Wars TV show would be about several story/character threads, with some from EACH side of the conflict (rebel and imperial).

On one hand, we'd have a Jedi who exiled himself, returns, and tries to help repair the damage to the balance of the Force. Of course, he would have to die before the timeline of the Ep 4 comes into play. Vader would probably kill him. Also, we'd see the struggles of the young rebellion. We'd see how there was a first Death Star that was destroyed by this rebellion (the Death Star you see at the end or ROTS).

It would also be about the Imperials and their attempts to completely abolish the senate. Also, we would see a young man who goes through the Imperial Academy to become a pilot or something.

I could see all of that in the show. The Jedi doesn't have to die though, just go back into exile. However, if he died, it would be much more dramatic. He should have a young apprentice whose master was killed during the Purge. Or lead a group of apprentices on the run from
Vader and the Emperor's Hands.

Hallmark card romance? Did you ever stop and think about the fact that neither of them had normal childhoods? Anakin was taken into the jedi's ranks a few years before puberty hit. For ten years he had been taught to believe that attacthment to a women was wrong and was not the jedi way. Imagine that all through middle and high school your parents had told you that attraction to a woman was wrong. I am sure that many of you on here are even worse with women and that's with a normal childhood. If you guys had actual experience in teen/young adult relationships you would realize just how accurate lucas portrayed them. Lucas had an impossible legacy to live up to. I think he did a great job without adding mandalorians, BADASS anakin, and contrived light saber duels.
