It's just so hard to know who the good guys are and who the bad guys are in these regions. And why people are fighting, and who is best to prevail, and what our actions will cause.
Look at Iraq. We heard about him brutalizing his own people. But look at what it's like with him gone. Saddam had to run Iraq the way he did. He really had no choice. It was the only way to prevent chaos. But we didn't know this.
That's why I say it's hard to know what is best. I'm not saying I think we should sit by and do nothing, but it's important that Americans think like this going into this. Sometimes it's best to use like a Star Trek prime directive. Let these cultures grow and develop without us meddling. It's their struggles and lessons learned from mistakes that can help them grow to become great and prosperous.
