what racist jokes did he tell?

Well, he was basically going on about how much mutants suck. He wasn't joking. Just being kind of disturbing with the racism.

Haha! Ultimate sinister. That moment where he shoved Xavier down some stairs was classic!

isn't deadpool mutant-esque?

or did he no longer undergo the weapon x program

Yeah...

Ultimate Deadpool = Extreme and disturbing racist in a fancy costume.

Except for the name he has nothing in common with 616 Deadpool. He's not just Ultimate, he's a complete different character. And not just personality wise, he's also physically totally different from the 616 version, and I'm not talking about his face.

Well, the LOL wasn't in the comics, but yeah, that's from Ultimate X-Men. And that's Ultimate SInister. He kind of sucks.

Nope. At least, not by the sense of the word that is the social norm in the MArvel Universe. He wasn't born mutated in either 616 or Ultimate.

In Ultimate, no.

Way I see it, if more had been done to flesh out his character, he would have been better. Personally, my idea for Ultimate Deadpool, while it would have been quite different origin wise, would still have been true to the character. Basically, he would have been a pretty crazy mutant kid growing up on the streets in Canada who can heal really fast. Eventually, inspired by stories of Spider-Man and the Ultimates, he decides to become a masked vigilante protector of the innocent. So, he gets together a really crappy Spider-Man costume, a sword, and a gun. But then, he realises he has no money. So he decided to become a mercenary for hire. He eventually makes his way to New York and joins up with Danny Rand and the now having quit the Defenders Luke Cage to form the Heroes for Hire.

But because of Logans DNA being bonded to his, he would be classed as a mutant in 616. Sentinels would tragget him because of his DNA.

True. But still, by the social idea of what a mutant is, as in, someone born mutated, he doesn't qualify.

I thought th' arc was weak. And once again, Spidey needed his butt saved in th' fight. Anticlimactic endin' as usual. Ultimate Spidey just disappoints on so many levels these days, which sucks 'cause I USED to enjoy it.

That's what the line is supposed to be about, the freedom to take the names of grounded 616 characters and going in a totally different direction, if they choose. For some like Peter and Northstar, everything stays the same except for sexual prefrence, and for Deadpool it's different. I'll give it time and see where it goes, I'm totally turned off by the concept, he's like Captain Nazi.

I've nothing against going into different directions, but not changing a character so much that he is barely recognizable anymore.

Instead of taking a known 616 character he could've come up with complete new one. What this character practically is, it's not Deadpool it's just a character that happens to share the same name.

Agreed. I think it was a waste. Now if they ever decide to do him correctly they will have to come up with some excuse to explain why this first introduction was so pathetic.

I just hope that the next time we see him he will be a lot more scrambled in the head
because of the explosion that went through his skull and body, and no more of that cyborg crap.
And therefore more like his 616 counterpart.

The one thing that I hated more then anything about Ultimate Deadpool... and trust me there were a few...

No respect for the essence of Deadpool. Bendis could've made him anything, if he had just kept that one bit of essence. And it's not the guns, not the humour, not the badassery.

Wade Wilson had cancer! He had cancer and he didn't want to die. Ergo, he became part of an experiment that went terribly wrong and he went insane, wackiness ensued. But he NEVER asked for superpowers. He just wanted to live. A bit pathetic, but sometimes that's where greatness hides. Now I understand that Ultimate characters have to be different, but they shouldn't be inferior.

So now we have this character, who intentionally f@#$ed himself up just because he hated mutants. And that is seriously not funny.

Its not traget either as Wades origin is in a way.

So what was his origin in the Ultimate universe?

Former special ops agent for the military. He was insanely racist against mutants, and turned himself into a cyborg as to be able to stand up to the X-Men when atempting to kill them.

That sounds decent but it could have been better.

My problem was that he was far too two dimensional. No real depth to him.

The only thing, and I mean the ONLY ONE thing, I liked about Ultimate Deadpool was the "Respect the mask" response.

And it would have been glorious, as long as he wasn't named "Deadpool"

Well I know they can fix that in Ult X Men.

Or they'll just make him gay. That's ultimate X-men's thing right?

Now dont get me wrong it's not that i've got anything against gay people or gay characters but it pisses me off when they change something fundamental about great established characters just for the sake of changing things.

I mean what's next? Make Charles Xavier a pedophile just cause it'll shock people? Ooooh that'd make for a great plot twist now wouldnt it?
