4 issue, I believe. So it was actually shorter than most arcs. And I don't mind the Shi'ar as a religion, although it's never been said they're NOT aliens. They could be humanoid aliens posing as a religion, who knows.

True, I just meant that the story itself bored me to the point of quitting the series. I've read the rest of it in trade and looks like I didn't miss anything special.

That I can understand. It's gotten a bit better than then though. While too short, the Apocalypse arc was interesting. My main complaint with the Ultimate Universe right now is that the art on both of the Thanos stories has been so god awful (stupid manga inspired crap) that I couldn't even force myself to read them all. And what I did read of them wasn't very impressive either.

I miss when they only had 2 guys writing the entire universe. And Bendis and Millar are both top guys. Now you have too many cooks spoiling the soup. And Jeph Loeb, standing on the counter with his pants around his ankles, pissing into the soup and laughing like a madman.
