I found it funny. In Supreme Power and all that, Hyperion was WELL above anybody in the Ultimates U strength wise, and now he's having trouble with some of them.

But that was only temporary. he and the rest of the SS were re-adjusting from the dimensional traveling. Once they did adjust however hyperion began to put the smack down.

I knew my eyes weren't functioning correctly last night, I'll have to reread.

And he's only powerful enough when basically nobody is a match for him.

But I'm more than willing to see the Arcanna/Wanda fight.

Don't know about yall but I really want to see Nighthawk vs. Cap. Sure Cap should beat the stuffings out of him but racist black man vs. good,clean, and wholesome white america is always entertaining.

I wouldn't call cap good, clean, and wholesome. But then again, we kind of view our previous generations as something better than we are.

Cap is way faster and stronger though. A better fight would be like Hawkeye and Nighthawk.

It's not confirmed, but after he punched the hell out of him, someone from the Ult U says "That is not good."(probably spidey or nick fury) then hyperion proceeds to speak for awhile and has everyone's attention. I'm thinking the only way to have had everyone stand at attention is by knocking out the biggest gun on the field.

It's not unbreakable. Hulk has broken adamantium not once, but twice alone.

But I assume it will cut, as unlikely as it is.

Collosus can lift well above 100 tons. He once dragged a submarine to shore. Those weight over 1000 tons.

I wouldn't say over 1000 tons, but close. And since it was underwater, he was able to move it MUCH easier.

True. But still, he can lift over 100 tons. Thor too, most likely, although most of his feats have been downplayed up until the recent arcs in The Ultimates.

Maybe, but it's been the general idea that Ultimate U is totally depowered in comparison, and not much has been shown to the otherwise yet. Because it would totally NOT make sense for Hulk to really go down on Thor, yet UThor could hold against 616 Hulk apparently, but a 2 ton strong UCap can break UHulk's bones.

1) I took Cap's being able to stand up to The Hulk as a combination of Cap atacking pressure points and other such weak spots, Cap's greater agility, and The Hulk still healing from the crap he'd just been hit with.

I don't think Cap broke any of The Hulk's bones in their one on one fight. I think Cap dropping a tank on him from several hundred feet in the air might have broken his bones, though.

I read in a magazine about the ultimate's power level being the strongest one, which is Colossus, being in the 20 ton range, followed by Hulk in the 15 ton range, Thor and Thing in 12 ton. I know Colossus dragged that sub(cant seem to stop hearing about it) nevertheless, on the record, he's supposedly a lot weaker than 616 Luke Cage.

you guys DO realize that when MU came up with their strength chart, they made a HUGE mistake of making 100tons a big threshhold in categorizing people's strength levels right?

The idiots didn't put much thought into it and figured, "hm...100tons sounds really heavy...let's make that the threshhold between the really strong dudes and the rest of the world."

Well, no one told them that an M-1 Abrams tank weighs 65 tons.
An A-10 Warthog weighs 200 tons.

So you're telling me that the Thing cannot even lift an A-10?

My advice, IGNORE MU's stupid strength classification scheme.

When MU says Class 100, they really mean the dude can LIFT A CRAPLOAD.
When MU says the Thing can lift 70tons, they really mean he can LIFT just a tad less than the others who can lift a crapload.

A crapload can be anything from an aircraft carrier to a freaking planet.

1. I agree. I overreacted there.

2. What i meant was that for the Thing to be able to consistantly go toe to toe against beings like the Hulk (even though he always loses,) he has to be way above the 70ton range.

The thing can throw tanks that weight 75 tons into the next zipcode. I can lift 50lbs, but I cannot throw a 50lb weight into the next room. Being able to throw something into the next zipcode means you can lift A LOT...I MEAN A LOT more than that.
