Glad to hear kids are liking it and all, but Disney should make the show likable for everyone, from kids to grown up fans. Pixar flicks appeal to all demographic, no reason why comic book shows can't.

Venom is my least favorite episode thus far, but I'm still satisfied
Why did Sam bad mouth Harry since he was with him and MJ in the previous episode? Sitting having fun?
Why would Spider-Man go away from Harry after he heard him forgiving Peter? He didn't hate Spider-Man

Geek catches:
  • Ock taking blood sample from Spider-Man, much like his first appearance and taking blood sample from Peter Parker
  • Electric webbing: Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro
  • Flash saying "Take the Nerd": Very Fred (ultimate Flash), not Eugene (original)
  • Venom: Ultimate Carnage (but everyone else caught that already)
  • Using electricity to defeat Venom, Ultimate Spider-Man destroying his black suit
  • Symbiote tying Iron Fist removing his clothes? So wrong
  • Fury as Spidey's inner voice: J. Jonah Fairy Godfather for Spider-Man (Skin Deep (Charlie Weiderman) if I recall right) I know it's from a Staczynski/Deodato issue

^ Haha, the electric webbing did remind me of Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro as well. I thought it was awesome Spidey would mix all kinds of agents into his webbing in those games.

Sorry to disappoint you but Mr Loeb and MArvel have cancelled Avengers EMH. There will be no Season 3. Mr Loeb is working on a new Avengers series that takes place in the same universe as ultimate spider-man. The new series will consist of only stand alone episodes no ongoing arcs. There will not make an announcement until this fall, and the new series will debut on Fall 2013.

So enjoy the 2nd season of Avengers EMH as it is the last.

I hate Loeb!!!

just what we need, a dumbed-down version of the Avengers on the same level as the current dumbed-down version of Ultimate Spider-Man...

What are the odds of you finding it more fun than this Spider-Man cartoon? Even just a tad bit more?

Just watched the Venom episode. It wasn't bad. I still cringe at the comedic moments, but I feel ok with the action scenes.

after the four eps I've seen so far and knowing that Loeb is involved with both, I'd say the odds are slim to none...

Preview of episode 5. Who are the villains Spidey fights in those flashbacks? I don't recognize a single one. Anyway, here's hoping episode 5 is decent.

Still reckless and a menace to society.

They were Blizzard, Firebrand, and Melter.

Wanna know why you didn't recognize them? They are all Iron Man villains.
They really should stick to Spider-Man villains. After all, the series is called "Ultimate Spider-Man." Not "Ultimate Marvel," where you see villains from different Marvel superheroes.

If it were just a straight up Marvel Team Up show then I wouldn't have a problem with them barely using any Spidey villains. Batman The Brave and The Bold did this right because it was just a straight up team up show that had Batman teaming up with lesser known characters from all over the DCU and going up against lesser known villains from the DCU while still peppering in most of his villains here and there for good measure. This is what Marvel should have done.

Maybe someday... I still think a classic styled MTU like B:TBATB would make a great cartoon. It would work perfectly for Loeb's dumb easily accessible, no ongoing/ overarching story arcs or multi-parters idea.

I thought the second one is Pyro

Never ending
Repulsors to the Iron-Spider is new

They should have Power Man & Iron Fist villains, they are important characters

What's up with the Iron Spider suit?? Was Tony introduced in that episode? Repulsors and not web-shooters do not make Spidey Spidey.

Tony will be introduced in the next episode. The Iron Spider suit was introduced in the comics, so I'm cool with it.

Only Spidey couldn't fly and shoot repulsor blasts. That simply doesn't make him Spider-Man anymore.

I never read the issues, just saw images. I remember him having legs, guessing he climbed building with those.

It's called that, but it's clearly 'teen Avengers' in all but name, sadly.

I find the show entertaining, but I agree when people call it dumb. The stories are threadbare and things more or less 'just happen' with little to no reason. There is some plot and a hint of an overarching storyline.... y'know between Spider-man's every 10 second interruption of "la la la, not listening plot, not listening".

I think the show has some potential, but it can only find it in my opinion if they lessen (but not get rid of) the constant interruptions to the flow of the story by Spider-man's nonsensical ramblings and actually wrote some more plot.

Though on a side note this wouldn't be a bad cartoon for Deadpool to appear in at some point.

Peter's such an Iron Man wannabe! D:
the teen group thing is kinda weird. I thought Spidey was a solo operator. :/ now it sounds like the Fury's Caterpillars thing.

so i saw this weeks episode with Venom and the show was a little better more watchable but it still had it's bad moments hopefully next weeks episode is better.
