Unbreakable appreciation thread

I've not seen it for a while, but I think Unbreakable is a superb movie. Well crafted with some excellent acting.

i like unbreakable but i feel it works better as a single flick,

I love this movie but as much as I think a sequel would suck, I just crave more adventures with this character. He is a superhero afterall and this isn't like Signs or The Village where it's just one event. This really CAN continue if Shyamalan wanted.

And today this movie turned 20 years old.

If this makes us children of the 90s feel old, just imagine how everyone else who worked on it as an adult feel now. :oldrazz:

This is a time I think when M. Night's twist works in favor of the story, but I wonder how Mr. Glass manages to travel as often as he does.

You know, in retrospect? What Unbreakable needed as a tv spinoff, ala Stargate. Sure, never gonna happen, and it would have needed a new cast. But take the premise as set up in the movie, and then give it a serial format to explore its low key urban fantasy world? Lots of potential.

Glass just really needed a polish at the script stage or another movie in between. Split was a great sequel but Glass just dropped the ball on too many things unfortunately.
