Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Part 2

I think that'd get kinda old fast. Perhaps if it ended up there but the start of his journey took to several places outside of England/Scotland, but otherwise, there ain't much variety there.

Finally beat the game on Crushing. The knife fight with Talbot was just upsetting difficult. Two strikes and you're dead. But, I finally did it. Just have to find ten more teasure.

I wouldn't mind a full fledged tour of Europe in the next game. London, Paris, Rome, etc.

Scotland is a pretty cool suggestion for atleast a partial setting in U4, because it has a lot of history with things like Hadrians Wall and the Celts living there in the Roman times.

All three would be great. They could do a chase sequence starting from the Louvre.

I hope Drake's got a son played by Shia LeBough, and survives a nuclear blast by hiding in a fridge.

The big reveal at the end should be aliens, too.

I've been saying this for a while.. I hope Drake finds his long lost dad in U4.. And he's voiced by Harrison Ford.

I was hoping that they would introduce Chloe's dimwitted brother Jonathan. They would go to Egypt and unknowingly release an Egyptian High Priest. He was buried a live for touching the mistress of the Pharoah. A curse kept him a live and now he seeks his true love, who just so happens to look like Chloe. Hi-jinx and adventure ensues!!

My next one would be the plot of Sahara but no one ****ing cares about that film.

Greatness. All of it. Greatness.

Yeah it's going to be a while before we get confirmation on a 4th game.

Wasn't the team split?
I hope they're at least working on the story, scenary, characters and other stuff like this so they'll have everything ready when they start to do it.

Really? I thought they were split during Uncharted 3, to get The Last of Us started? I always assumed that after U3, they just put the team together again to focus on the new IP.

I have no doubt there will be a fourth.

I don't believe The Last of Us will matter, in terms of affecting the announcement/development of Uncharted 4.

I think Sony handing off Golden Abyss to a different team was a warning shot that they're willing to hand the reigns over to a different team to continue the franchise.

I think Naughty Dog has probably moved on. Usually, they do three and then move on, don't they? The Last of Us looks great, so...unless they want to wait until after that? Or if Sony even wants to wait for that?

I saw that as more Sony wanting a studio experienced in handheld games, as well as not piling too much on ND's plate.

Yeah, same thing they did for the Resistance franchise. Insomniac for consoles, Bend for PSP, Nihilistic for Vita. Bend is just their go to Dev for portable versions of their "it" console games. There is no reason for ND to get into making Vita games when you have other Devs with tons of experience with portables IMO.

Talk about random. I just won this game from Subway's promotion last year. Apparently my email address is in a pool for second chance winning. Kinda late as Ive already owned the game for months but I guess I can at least trade it in for some store credit somewhere

So everyone's been going back and forth about what Naughty Dog's Uncharted team should be doing now that 3's finished. Will it be an Uncharted 4 on PS3 or PS4? etc. I had a good idea what Naughty Dog should do in the meantime if Nate's next isn't out until next-gen.

Uncharted: Prison Break

Uncharted 3 caught a lot of flak for being completely linear. I've always thought a really cool idea for a game would be to set it inside a big building (like a shopping mall or something), have players learn the layout and re-use areas much like the original Die Hard and then go about picking off bad guys in any sort of order. Kind of like Terrorist Hunt in Rainbow Six Vegas but with more dynamic objectives and a story.

So how about taking that idea and having a PSN title which tasks Drake with breaking out of a crappy ol' ****hole like, oh, I dunno a Panamanian Jail?

You take the idea of linearity out of it; Drake could escape however he wanted to through riots or partnerships or fighting guards all of that. The whole experience could last anywhere from an hour to five but you'd be encouraged always to restart and find new ways of breaking out.

I just think that's a really neat idea and a change for the games.

Id rathe that be a new ND IP than the next Uncharted. That seems too different to even be an Uncharted game. They might be able to get away with it if it were a spinoff feaurting the protagonist as someone different like lets say Cutter or Harry (to keep it in the Uncharted universe), but I wouldnt want that to be Drake's title. The big set pieces, nature, environment, adventure, etc... all are synonymous with the series. I think containing ton one building would be a step backwards. Again for a spinoff or new IP that would be good but not an entry to Drake's tale. The way you have it set up almost seems like a PSN title. A different protagonist would be more accepting in that scenario as well

I'm only thinking of a PSN release though, not 'the next Uncharted'. And besides, think about all those stories Nate shares with the likes of Sully and Harry; the guy has clearly had more than a few adventures outside of exploding planes and toppling trains.

I'm thinking of a prison like the one seen in season 3 of Prison Break, not a well-built, maximum security one but a crummy, sun-beat mess. It wouldn't be just a building but the whole complex. It wouldn't have the huge set-pieces but scruffy fist fights and shady dealings are all up Nate's street imo.

Still, just an idea is all. Think it'd be cool.

How was Uncharted 3 too linear? It was the same as the first two, which is the way I like this franchise.

What I love about Uncharted is that we go to many different places. That's one of the things that draws me in.
If it's a new IP, then probably yeah.

Finally bought the game, I'm enjoying so far.

I'm gald that Chloe is back and Charlie is my favourite guy apart from Sully of course.
