Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Part 2

I dropped it down to easy when you fight the Ghostriders. No trophy is worth the fits of rage I was having. I'm pretty much done hunting for trophies at this point.

Oh yeah i had a difficult time with that section too all i can say is keep trying

The CE is $29.99 at BB right now. Im contemplating whether I should upgrade or not just bc its a damn god price, not that I care for any of those items

do you think they will release a bundle of all 3 games?

I know that there's a bundle with the 1st 2 games......

Not confirmed, but they said they never planned the series to be just a trilogy.

I could see Uncharted 4 being a launch title for the Playstation 4.

I dont. Probably wouldnt come out till a few months to a year after the PS4 is released.

I mean it could go either way real easily.

I can't wait for a 4th game and where Drake will go next, there are still so many potential locations and stories that could be done.

I'm just really hoping that they don't follow the Indiana Jones route and give him a kid or something. Though at the same time, I feel like the next time we see Drake, it will be several years after what happened in UC3 because it seemed like he was finally going to let go of all the treasure hunting adventure stuff, or at least the stuff revolving around Francis Drake.

After the lack luster launch titles for Ps3, Sony needs some great games to launch with PS4. Considering Uncharted is one of their best franchises, I can easily see them having Uncharted 4 be a launch title.

Thats good in theory, but who's gonna buy it? Its a double edge sword bc as a console maker you want your games to push sales of your console but on the other hand you want to maximize sales of your games and the user base just isnt there at the start. By and large they dont make money off consoles as they sell it at a lost with their money being made from their software. Uncharted is a heavy hitter (actually their biggest one) and it would make more sense to release it maybe a year down the line when the PS4 has built up a more substantial user base. They can have it launch with the PS4, but at launch the system will be at its most expensive and there will be people that wont get it till it drops. And there are people who will wait bc early adopters tend to get short changed from unforseen issues. Make no mistake, the PS4 will still sell. Not through the roof, but by the time UC4 is ready to be released, Sony will be giving those who waited a reason to finally drop the dough for one

The PS3 didn’t launch with any of Sony’s big mainstays, nor did the PS2. They go in expecting to take a hit early on and I don’t think they get too worried about that bc it gives them time to grow and build up momentum and wow consumers with their big releases in the months – a year following the launch, which they can make a lot more money off of when the console is in more homes

What I think they can do is to at least confirm the release of some titles. Like U4, or Killzone 4, for example. So the consumer can buy the console and he already knows that great titles are coming.

Well they had an Uncharted game release with the launch of the Vita and that didn't really help it become successful. From what I've heard, the Vita hasn't really been selling well, which could also be contributed to a lack of big name titles, both at release and upcoming.

i think the reason the Vita isn't sellling that well is because Sony has done a bad job marketing the product and the price. the software lineup is great. It's the price that really counts

I will agree about the price. I think a $250 price tag would make me want one more. I've played my brother's Vita and it's pretty cool, but looking at the list of games they have out now and what's coming by the end of the year, there isn't really much that makes me want to buy one soon, especially at the current price.

That's funny bc when Sony announced the price at E3, they got tons of cheers and praise. No one was really complaining about and thought it was more than fair, in fact cheaper than they expected

I'm glad you did. I'm on chapter 16. It only gets better.
Finished it a few days ago. Really enjoyed it, though I was surprised there was no trade mark climbing in it (granted action is always a little difficult in written form). Made me go back and replay the series on Hard. Just finished 2, and will probably start 3 again in a few days. Do you know if there are plans for more books?

I got a PS3 about a month ago and got the 320GB version that came with Uncharted 3, but before playing I got the dual pack as Uncharted is a game series I've wished to play since the announcement of the first game. I have played through all three and enjoy them more than I have enjoyed any video game in a very long time. Although I'm not sure Uncharted 3 is as great as 2. It does alot of great moments. I just love these characters, this series alone made me regret not getting a PS3 years ago. But as the Xbox has little good in it left I decided I must get a PS3 largely on the basis of this series of games(plus I love everything Naughty Dog and Insomniac since the PS1 days and DC Universe Online is something I've been wanting to try).

I definitely like Uncharted 2's multiplayer and co-op more than Uncharted 3's though. I don't care too much for all the flashy sprinting and perks and all the COD mumbo jumbo (I might just not have the hang of it yet).

The only complaints about Uncharted 3 I have is the climax of the story is a little lacking compared to the past two games IMO, the game had such a epic scale compared to the previous ones and seemed to end kinda small. Plus I was hoping for some supernatural-like creatures like the first two games. And another complaint are the armored enemies, I hated them in Uncharted 2 as well and just added frustration to otherwise enjoyable gameplay.

But my goodness I loved Uncharted 3 and its predessecors and look forward to the future adventures of Nathan Drake, Sully, and Elena hopefully as well! :)

We haven't heard anything from Naughty Dog, as far as I know, but Chirstopher Golden is open for more. In an interview, he said he'd like to do more:

Would you like to write more tie-in novels within the Uncharted universe in the future?

Absolutely. I had a blast, and I already have the beginnings of a plot in mind. But I have no idea if there will be more.

Personally, I'm all for more.
