Comics Underrated Villains

Who else thinks some of Spider-Man's villains are underrated?

Shocker? He's just a regular guy that engineered that suit...Considering he has potential to hit Spider-Man (who's beyond extremely agile), imagine what he could do against others?

Lizard? Superior to Spider-Man in strength and durability, speed and agility is on par.

Scorpion? Has every advantage over Spider-Man except for intelligence.

What do you guys think? I just believe they don't receive their due credit that often...if at all.

Here are some villains I think are underrated or underused...

Chance, Cardiac, Kaine, Vermin, Morbius.


All the villains you mentioned have gotten their dues and then some. Look, Lizard even has his own icon!

lol yeah...Well, they're popular in the Spider-Man series....I more so meant in the overall Marvel U. On the marvel forums, often they are bashed in versus matches. Anyway, from what I recall, I liked Kaine, Vermin and Cardiac.

Without a doubt, The Shocker. He was in the first Spidey comic I ever read. (ASM 152) It's cool to hear he'll be in this week's episode of Spec Spider-man.
Scorpion also, he needs someone who can write him well.

A villain that was used right at the start of Mcfarlane's run on ASM.

Yeah, he's defenitley underrated. I mean, what's not to like about a Villian who is basically water and can is the opposite of Sandman in terms of powers.

Personally, I enjoyed the take that the 90's animated series took with Hydro-Man much more so than what I've seen of him in the Marvel Comics.

Vulture, Scorpion, Sandman(tho most people that hate one him are just none comic book fans that saw spider-man 3) Carnage and Shriek(Giant flame shield on) Alister Smythe and maybe also Fusion.
