Unimaginative!

Gravity, while interesting enough, is a rip-off of a variety of character-types, including:

As someone who can finally say they've read both GRAVITY and INVINCIBLE, I can honestly say that this accusation is unfair. Their simularities are:

1). 18 year old heroes who're freshmen in college who happen to have a human girlfriend. Do you know how many young heroes could claim this?

2). Costume with goggles. One has a skull-cap and the colors/designs aren't the same

3). Both can fly and "punch hard". Wow. I could name a dozen other heroes who could do that.

4). Young hero coming of age story. Every young hero under the sun has this.

GRAVITY was about a young hero trying to "break in" to the superhero community in NYC and market his name to become a brand-name as well as a big-wig. He ends up being confronted by reality and duped by a local hero who ends up being a villian. He gets his powers by accident and generates gravity.

Invincible is born with his powers and his father is the world's greatest hero (seemingly). He simply wants to follow in his father's footsteps when he finds out his father is living a lie. His cast is different, his adventures are different. Invincible's superior to GRAVITY, true, but to call him a knock is stretching, at best. And I get tired of hearing it because it's not like fanboys need any MORE excuses not to ever give a new Marvel character a chance.

Hypocritically, I dislike X-23. :o
