I know in the VGA thread, it was said that Steampunk western would be the way to go.

This could be western-y. Kind of has a Borderlands vibe to it. Damn, can't wait for the VGAs, I hate speculating.

I'm assuming that the image judging from the quality of it is from a future Blur trailer. Well, I'll wait and see what it is next month.

Well, it could be. Real Bioware is in the final stretch with Mass Effect. I imagine they're pretty far along with Dragon Age III as well. Plus we don't know the size of the game. It could be a smaller downloadable thing. Also, that image looks like it's from a CG trailer, and if that's the case, I would have to guess that work on this is game is just in the preliminary stages.

But what are the other Bioware studios up to?

Bioware Austin is working on The Old Republic, and that's probably the only thing that studio will ever work on.

Similarly, Bioware Mythic is an MMO developer. I suppose this could be an MMO, but I kind of doubt it.

Bioware Montreal... what have they been working on? Yep, I'm betting this is them.

Bioware Montreal I know did a lot of the heavy lifting for Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, since ME3 is pretty much in the final stretch of development they should be free.

So my gut feeling is that this is going to be Bioware's multiplayer focused game.

It reminds me of an old PS1 game a friend of mine had, Vigilante 8. With Twisted Metal getting a lot of hype I wonder if EA might want to make another game like that.

I wouldn't think it would be Vigilante 8 but maybe some sort of clone? Or do we know more than what the picture tells us?

I'm not sure what to make out from the picture, so I'm very interested to see what the game will be about. But as Soapy mentioned, I hope it's not another post-apocalyptic/wasteland type of game.
